I've seen enough of Targett to know he isn't quick enough or good enough for a team aiming at the top half of PL. I've also seen enough of Stephens to know he is good enough. McQueen looked a better player than Targett after only a few games.

The best bit of our squad this year has been the defence which is the bit that looks likely to get sold off this summer. We will still have the same bang average, ponderous midfield and mis-firing attack but with the decent defence behind it also gone. Unless we have an outstanding summer transfer window we are going to struggle to get anywhere near the highlighted part.

Considering the likely state of our squad next season maybe we should be looking at Fat Sam he actually stops clubs from getting relegated (which might come in handy next season)

My worry is the club think exactly that when it should be pretty obvious to everyone that poor transfer windows this season has left the squad much weakened compared to previous seasons. The warning signs were there when Les made the absurd claim we had the best midfield options in the PL and we gambled on Jrod instead of bringing in a quality striker last summer.

None of the players are going to stay just because Puel leaves do you really think Bertrand is going to turn down Man City just because we sack Puel...not a chance.

Doesn't looking at the bigger picture involve other mitigating factors like poor summer recruitment, injuries to key players, the fallout of a captain wanting away mid season, European football, the general improvement in the big teams and a cup run. People are talking like the manager is the only issue this season. Even if we ditch Puel the next manager is looking at the same squad minus VVD, Bertrand and Cedric to improve on this season he is going to have work miracles who ever he is.

Nope he is comfortable at Bournemouth, basically adored there, he probably has the least pressured job in the PL and it works for him. As he proved at Burnley outside his comfort zone of Bournemouth he struggled. Rather we just took Bournemouths top scorer than their manager.

I had no problem with that Sub Pied is a winger converted into a full back so was clearly bought in to get forward and deliver balls into the box not like the morons behind me insisting Puel was shoring things up 0-1 down with an extra defender. As for JWP awful yesterday back to his supreme worst should have been taken off after 20 minutes.
