  1. It wasn't 6 efforts on goal it was 17. 6 on target and 4 blocked.
  2. Yeah very agenda driven now. We have been poor at times this season no getting past that but last night wasn't one of those games we played good football at times and were the better team let down by finishing.
  3. Guess you weren't at the game last night here's a match report for you http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/southampton-0-manchester-united-0-stand-in-romero-shines-in-de-geas-absence/ar-BBBflDf?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartandhp Interesting stat from last night Southampton had six shots on target - only Tottenham (seven on Sunday) have had more in a match against Manchester United this season in all competitions. So we actually got more shots on target than we did in the cup final were everyone said we played well. every match report I've read credits the UTD keeper as MOM. Yes we have had some **** games but last night wasn't one of them and defiantly was a case of not scoring our chances.
  4. In fairness though we were on top there was no need to change the system it was more a case of trying to get someone to apply a finish I would have though Austin would he been a better option than Jrod in that context tonight.
  5. Nice right up here http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/southampton-0-manchester-united-0-stand-in-romero-shines-in-de-geas-absence/ar-BBBflDf?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp interesting stat at the end Southampton had six shots on target – only Tottenham (7 on Sunday) have had more in a match against United this season in all competitions.
  6. What he has drilled them on the training ground to be **** at pens and shoot badly...
  7. Still a team chocked with internationals though I'd have taken their keeper, Mata, Rashford and Martial from that team tonight and put them in saints shirts easily.
  8. Handball. Kind of amusing at half time when the bloke was talking about the charity penalties and how he had spent an afternoon getting tips on penalty taking from the saints players at Staplewood.....
  9. We'll I bet our keeper couldn't have pulled any of them off.... His save for JWPs curled effort looked pretty good in real time to me.
  10. I've seen a couple of sub appearances from him looks decent enough but hard to judge on about 35 minutes of football.
  11. **** knows what game some of you lot were watching we were the better side played some really nice football and they have their keeper to thank for the draw. They never really troubled us at all. Can't believe we've missed three pens in one season has that ever happened before? I will say though that their back up keeper looks a million miles better than our first choice....
  12. Yeah I read that earlier yet another article that doesn't paint Chinese ownership in a good light...
  13. Isn't the point to draw the opposition on to us for the counter we do press but only in our own half...though sadly we are **** at countering
  14. Relegation battles are exciting people complaining that this season has been dull would surely rather have an exciting season of battling the drop....no?
  15. Is the big decline due to our manager or our constant loss of our better players every summer followed by poor recruitment last summer. If Puel had Victor, Pelle, Mane and a motivated Fonte this season would he have another 15 points this season? ( my gut feeling is yes) How would Koeman have fared with Hoj, Redmond, Stephens and Boufal in his squad last season. Our "decline" can hardly be put down to just one thing like the manger. For starters several of the big boys have improved on last season which makes things harder than last season.
  16. I thought so to at the time figured it had just come across badly but two transfer windows later we still only have one proper DM in the squad and our centre midfield looks poor when JWP doesn't play so now I think Les actually believed it....
  17. Annual event at Watford these days. Do they give their managers 1 year contracts if not must be costing them a fair bit paying off their managers every summer.
  18. Looks like Walter Mazzarri is available ..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39949621
  19. Let's hope Les has been debunked of the myth that we have the best midfield options in the PL for a start...
  20. I think part of the non reaction could well be down to saints fans realising that their is little point in getting attached to our players or mangers these days every time we grow attached to anyone the bugger off. One of the best things about coming back up the lower leagues was building a team there was a sense of players, managers and 20k hardcore fans in it together. That's pretty much gone now players and mangers just seems to be passing through to somewhere else.
  21. Yeah I meant "Fit and Proper Person" rather than "Financial Fair Play" agree with you though.
  22. I've sat through the season and I've seen us spurn bucket loads of chance this season we've been horribly wasteful in front of goal this season.
  23. Don't know to be honest haven't looked into it. Not surprised about it this season though. My general experience of home games this season is watching us spurn a load of chances and then watch the opposition bury theirs....
  24. Looks like the PL is planning to toughen up the FPP test and is asking PL owners to vote on it wonder how Kat will vote? http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=707B37D8099942C5A8909684DBAF6D00&url=http%3a%2f%2fnews.sky.com%2fstory%2ftakeover-rows-spark-premier-league-bid-to-toughen-ownership-tests-10881228&c=18098131472095689379&mkt=en-gb
  25. Why? you won't like the next bloke either in all the years I've been on this forum I struggle to remember you having much positive to say about any of our mangers..
