I'm pretty neutral about this certainly not the worst manager we could have but I reckon he'd be coping under un-realistic expectations from our fan base. What he did at Leicester was a remarkable achievement but there is a sense that it was a bit of a stars aligned moment that he will never achieve again. I can't see him fitting the supposed long term, youth orientated, training ground coach the club (Les) wants though. On the other hand I could see him being snapped up by new Chinese owners ( and probably fired six months latter)

Davis is the captain he won't get dropped I'd push him further up the pitch rather than playing him as a holding player and give Tadic a rest as he has been terrible recently.

We'll I thought the main difference between the two teams was finishing they could we couldn't. We matched Arsenal everywhere on the pitch except in the bit that counts putting the ball in the net. Basically our season can be summed up for me with Turd in the final third... We do ok until we get around the opposition penalty box were we seem to lose all composure and make **** poor decisions.

Pretty much. Sadly it looks like last season was the high point of Long's career. He has a 9% shots to goals conversion rate this season which for a striker pretty awful. We need more quality upfront long and Jrod have had more than enough chance this season to impress and failed badly. Time to freshen up our front line this summer.

Jrod is a busted flush I'd rather get rid and give Gallagher a go. I doubt Jrod will ever be anything but a 5-6 goals a season type player now the injury ruined him sadly.

Behave he had a couple of chances to break on Arsenal last night but his first touch let's him down again and again. He ends up killing the counter attack before it even gets started because of his inability to control the ball either he squirts it 6ft in front of him or ends up shanking it in some random direction.

Don't worry Lander will be here soon and this season will seem like a dream compared to what is probably coming next.

We'll if that's true we are screwed either way. We either get new owners who don't appear to have much cash and look more interested in milking the club for the TV money or we keep the current owner who has had enough and will just let the club drift until she can get shot.... ....Guess we will all be looking back on the last few years as a golden age soon then.

I renewed at the weekend happily. Going to the football isn't just about the football. It's the whole day, the build up, spending time with my son, having away time from the Mrs, meeting up with friends and grabbing a crap take away and a pint.

Slightly simplistic in regards to saints. Losing Pelle, Mane and Victor all in one go and failing to replace any of them adequately last summer is the difference between this seasons saints and last. Had we kept any two out of those three this season we wouldn't have struggled as much.

Yes as long as we were happy for Mane to spend a season sulking, being ****, failing drug tests and visiting fat camps in France....

The other option is keep all the family silver until it's contract runs out and let it go for nothing leaving you with out the money to even re-invest in tin and unable to attract gems who don't want to join your collection for fear you will stop them moving somewhere better if they shine..

It was a club record fee, which I was happy with at the time, but transfer fees seem to go up on a weekly basis now making it look less impressive. He was never going to stay anyway so meh move on. As far as I'm concerned players who want to go are going to go and the club can't do much but get the best fee than can and move on. The important part is re-investing that money back into the right areas of the squad. Something we've generally done well until last summer. Redmond aside none of our new signings seem to have worked out particulary well this season.

Or 11 league goals this season in a turd team. If he was available ( which he isn't) it would be the perfect time to give him a run out, season over, nothing to play for. He could get a chance to show what he could do under no pressure.

Hoj is the Davis replacement, they are so similar, both good at moving the ball in attack and linking up midfield and attack, both suspect defensively in the holding role, neither can shoot for ****. We need a second good holding/defensive midfielder in the squad even if we don't play with two in most games we have no cover if/when Romeu is injured/suspended. Add to that our current midfield ( Romeu aside) seem to get very easily bullied off the ball this season there is just no presence in midfield at all.

Reckon Shaw will end up at spurs he was supposed to be very close to Poch and it looks like citeh might be interested in Rose.

Targett is no where near good enough McQueen looked better than Targett from the first time he played. If Bertrand goes he needs to be replaced properly. I'm very happy to have McQueen in the squad (especially as he can also double up as a wide player on the left) but we need a second good left back which isn't Targett.
