our squad is full of technically good but light weight players (other than Romeu) we get physically bullied a lot this season by teams with big athletic players really need to rebuild the spine of the team this summer.
-
and yet in that final season he still bagged 14 goals (and 10 assists) none of our players are even close to that this season which is **** poor really.
-
The biggest keeper I've ever seen that has no command of his area, doesn't communicate and doesn't organise his defence he is basically a mute statue for most games . For all his faults at least Kelvin Davis could organise his defence and give some leadership at the back.
-
Now there is an idea saints could pay for saints fans to have loads of kids and grow the fan base that way
-
Hasn't stopped my nipper its in the blood. Kids follow their parents clubs because that's what they are brought up with my regardless of players and managers.

Ambition is now taking Hull's manager is it? Both sides were crap on Saturday certainly nothing very exciting from Hull to suggest Silva would be an upgrade on Puel. Isn't Laurent Blanc still available after PSG let him go?

VVD already in talks with Liverpool and Arsenal according to this http://metro.co.uk/2017/05/01/liverpool-and-arsenal-open-talks-with-southampton-defender-virgil-van-dijk-6608091/ Is anyone else just getting numb to it now? It seems it bothered me more back when Poch left now I'm just resigned to the fact we will see a mass exodus every summer let's hope Les and co ( or their Chinese equivalent) do a better recruitment job this summer than last....
-
Our new Chinese owners will no doubt have a short list already picked out and fans can cream themselves over Paolo Di Canio Roberto Di Matteo Gianfranco Zola Sven-Göran Eriksson

Meh! Fans of just about every club in England would kill to have had the stability and success they've had under Wenger. If they have to feel a bit of frustration and pain at having to slum it in Europa and finishing out side the top four, for a change, it will be good for them..
-
There won't be a bidding war because VVD, and his agent, will all ready have decided which club he wants and thrashed out his new mega contract before we get the bid. It's not like the old days were a player found out he'd been sold after the clubs had all ready agreed a price.

Next season is going to be ace New minted far eastern owners with only a hint of mild corruption around them. Probably a great new name like Southampton Red Dragons (time to have Sammy saint put down) A new director of football (probably the new owners son-in-law but anything is better than "sell it all" Les right?) A new manager probably with a great playing pedigree say Paolo Di Canio.... Some new top players most likely John Terry on a free with a bumper new contract worth twice his Chelsea one. Plus a couple of others that are in the new director of footballs FIFA ultimate team on his PS4. I can't wait

You do know he was being sarcastic....
-
He gave evidence at trail about corruption and bribery in china that saw a fellow die by lethal injection while he got off scot free for turning witness. Having a criminal conviction makes you fail the FPP test The problem for the PL is because he turned witness he wasn't actually convicted of any crime despite a admitting he was involved in bribery and corruption. At least thats how the Sun are reporting it.
-
even more so if Everton had to play half season with Shane Long and Jrod as their only fit strikers...
-
Oh god it will be Sven-Göran Eriksson or some other old has been with a name people in China will know...
-
I thought the club was supposed to be self sustaining? Also with FFP how much money can an owner put in to a club for wages and players sales? There must be something seriously wrong with PL football if clubs can't survive on the wealth generated by TV and match days and need extra cash from their owners just to stand still.
-
I'm renewing but the money is staying in my bank account until the last possible minute no need to give them my money before I have to.
-
So for those wanting to replace him you need to look from 29 down http://www.lequipe.fr/Top/Football/top_50_entraineur_2017/11/

err we only have 3 CBs available in the squad (and one of those is really a full back) we also only have one DM Romeu so playing a second basically means shoehorning in one of JWP/Clasie/HoJ or Davis none of who are proper DMs so basically you want Puel to play a system he really doesn't have the players for. Nothing wrong with trying those suggestions if we had the right players to do so but right now with injuries and inadequate replacements after player sales Puels options are pretty limited.
-
Is it agents though? Sky News understands that Newcastle managing director Lee Charnley is among those arrested. Seems a little more serious than agents dodging a bit of tax.
-
Hardly Stephens is shaping up to be a decent ball playing CB he isn't the finished article, clearly, but developing him with game time is more beneficial in the long term than giving some bloke who won't be here in a few weeks some game time based on the assumption that he used to be good before his year long injury lay off and looked decent in an under 23s game.
-
that game and the nature of our loss still annoys me now...
-
I realise you are using this in the literal sense of knowledge of the hidden but occult image rights just conjures up images of West Ham players dressed as witches and ghosts....
-
Pool fans at work have never particularly rated him reckoned he was ok at best.
-
1) Leadership on the pitch especially at the back were someone needs to take charge and organize the defence 2) some strength/size/physical players. We seem to have a team of technically good players who are easily knocked off the ball and struggle to compete physically.
