You must be literally the only person who doesn't understand the clubs current operating method with regard to players....

Lets just hope ownership of the club (one way or another) gets sorted before the transfer window. Worse case scenario would be the two parties still thrashing it out and having a manager and DOF who don't know if the will still have a job come next season, the out going owner wanting to cash in on some assets before she goes the new owners coming in and deciding to shake things up by rushing to employ a new manager and some sort of marquee signing a week before the season starts. It could be a real mess .

nothing so far suggests that they can or will do that it seems they need to borrow heavily just to buy the club.

If the new owners se the club as a way to make money off the PL gravy train it isn't going to be pretty. If the new owners don't get things right all the hard work of the last 7 years could be undone very quickly.

well to be fair if has already sorted a move it will avoid the awkward scenes from a few years back when Lallana cleaned up at the awards

well I assume the club can demand more money if he has a longer contract so not pointless from the clubs point of view.

If the take over is imminent then there is no point giving Puel anything as he will likely be the first casualty of any new owners. If its being done so Kat can grab a bit of cash before the new owners take over I assume that would mean the VVD money would pay off the money the club owes to Kat rather than go back into the squad?

So likely were aren't really interested in him then. We could have given him the job a months ago and didn't. It doesn't seem likely that a few decent games at Hull would suddenly propel him to number one choice if he wasn't a few months ago.
