looks like Everton might be looking for a new striker in the summer maybe we can flog them Jrod http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4313316/Romelu-Lukaku-tells-Everton-NOT-sign-new-contract.html

from his wiki page Full name - James Michael Edward Ward-Prowse Date of birth - 1 November 1994 (age*22) Place of birth - Portsmouth, Hampshire, England
-
Yeah I can't see that happening.
-
I think we had all moved on. It seems Fonte is the one struggling to move on with his need to keep making public statements about his non transfer request..
-
Not exactly easy games in hand though Man U and Arsenal (even at home)
-
Somehow despite not playing this weekend we haven't actually dropped down the table and are still in 10th
-
That's because we have 30,000 fans who only do away games...
-
Lol 5 up hate to think what they be like if they "looked all that" Edit 6 up
-
Got to be the toughest last 4 in years City, Spurs, Arsenal and either Chelsea or Man U and Man U are the ****e side in that lot....
-
Development around the stadium would be good no argument there.
-
Lets hope we don't build a nice big shiny stadium and get relegated then...
-
All the time my wife's family all live there even been to a few Dons games they are defiantly proof that "if you build it they will come" doesn't work. Around the stadium is nice though my daughter likes shopping in Primark and the ball chain likes trawling around IKEA...
-
I guess the MK Dons are the exception the disproves the rule then... Initially there were concerns that the size of the stadium may have been too optimistic. Although attendances increased since leaving the National Hockey stadium, the stadium has yet to sell out for Dons' games.[58] The MK Dons average attendance of 10,550[59] during the 2008–09 League One season remains below half the ground capacity. The MK Dons average home attendance for the first part of the 2009–10 season was ranked 6th out of 24 teams in League One.[60] The average attendance for the 2012–13 season was just 8,612; in the 2013–14 season it was 9,047; in the 2015-16 season it was 13,158.[61]

I imagine the move to WHU was designed to stop him having to get a coaching job......

If we finish 8/9th having had to deal with Europe, reaching a cup final and all with a squad that has (arguably) been weaker than the last few seasons people would have to call that a pretty successful season, in the context of our performances since returning to the the PL, would they not?
-
But then if success brings in new customers why build a new/bigger stadium if those same people will f off when (as invariably happens in football) the success disappears (like they did when we dropped out of the PL).

I know I was being sarcastic when I read his little piece with sky I vomited a little bit in my mouth. Millionaire footballs playing the "my career is short card" when talking about money never sits well when their target audience are people that will have to graft hard well into their 60s to earn a small portion of what a PL footballer will earn.

Exactly he is doing it for his family he has to spend nearly fifty years doing nothing that don't come cheap.... neither does regularly upgrading your Bentley... Even if he is unhappy he will put up with it like millions of hardworking dads to provide for his family.....

Mings still protesting his innocence and Howe backing him. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39228950

Seems the only person not over Fonte leaving saints is Fonte.....
-
Good. reading a few bits on him seems like he was short of confidence at Napoli and has found some at saints which is doing him a world of good. A player of month award in his first month will only help I'm sure and we all know strikers thrive on confidence ?
-
Interestingly they were saying on the radio before the Spurs v Everton game that some spurs players where telling them that Poch has changed his training regime this season after realising that he was tiring the players out with the intensity of his training sessions during the week...

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?
doddisalegend replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
McQueen is a big upgrade on Targett imo especially under Puel who wants attacking full backs.
