  1. Interesting linked with several PL clubs (though not us) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4151536/Swansea-enquiry-Inter-Milan-defender-Andrea-Ranocchia.html
  2. Looks scary up front and pretty weak at the back.
  3. Wouldn't it make more sense to get the second and then bring him on to shore things up?
  4. What if we have a right go and get got caught on the counter lots and lose 3-0... will that ease the pain?
  5. Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Swansea proves the club have an attitude problem towards smaller teams, according to Alan*Shearer. "They’ve not been beaten by any of their title rivals but they have been beaten by Bournemouth, Swansea, Burnley and drawn with Sunderland which tells you they have a problem with attitude and application.” http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/other/liverpool-have-an-attitude-problem-says-shearer/ar-AAm6PNl?ocid=spartandhp Here's hoping Alan....
  6. I wonder if Martial is on his way out at Man U. Maybe he needs rescuing to a club were he gets to play and develop... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4149464/Anthony-Martial-upset-omission-Stoke-draw.html
  7. Is Davis fit now? I'd start Davis if he is available in a big game like this.
  8. If we don't get to the final it won't be down to missing VVD tonight as much as the usual dribbling Muppets want it to be all Les's fault. This semi final should already been done and dusted we had had more than enough chances in the first leg to put this tie out of sight and we didn't take them.
  9. How desperate are people for a striker..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4151568/Adebayor-searches-shot-Premier-League-football.html .....?
  10. Even I he is fit I doubt he'd get near the team now McQueen is far better.
  11. Steven Davis recent injury to originally it wasn't supposed to be serious but he hasn't been seen since.
  12. Were they from Klopp..
  13. I'd be tempted to do the same but Leicester showed what happens when you give team a system to play that they haven't had plenty of time to practise in training. Trying in introduce a new system in this game might do more harm and good now.
  14. I thought Conte said Ake was a big party of his future plans? Pretty sure Chelsea have no interest in selling him. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/conte-explains-ake-loan-recall-9586493
  15. I tried this but I'm none the wiser https://translate.google.com/
  16. Realistically though only Davis was possible to play (and still might) the second leg tomorrow the others have been injured for months or in Boufal's case if fit would have missed the game anyway. Liverpool have by the looks of it lost Clyne, Coutinho and Mane.
  17. Saw this on the O/S. Puel says it was VVD's ankle not his foot that was injured could be a translation thing I guess "van Dijk, he is having a scan and I am waiting for the results at the moment,” said Puel. “It was a good kick on his ankle, and he could not continue in the game yesterday. "It’s not serious, but I don’t know if he can participate in this game. We will see in the next days before the game.”
  18. Just watching the matchday uncovered at 7.15 VVD is seen walking back down the tunnel after coming off both his boots are on and there is no sign of a limp of anything. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-01-23/matchday-uncovered-southampton-leicester-city-premier-league
  19. That's bollix. I agree the board should have had a replacement for Fonte lined up. If he told them he wanted to leave last summer they should have been preparing for this for months. The club make a lot of PR out of their secession planning but this time they looked like they dropped the ball. Fonte leaving left us short of senior CBs. It could have been Yoshida injured in the last game instead of VVD and we'd still be in a bad spot. But if we go out of the cup against Liverpool trying to blame that on Fonte leaving is agenda driven bollix. We had more than enough chances to kill this tie at home and didn't take them and Liverpool are missing more first teamers from their best eleven than we are. Missing one (admittedly top class) player from tomorrow nights squad will not be the reason we don't get through to the final against a weakened Liverpool side in a poor run of form.
  20. The problem is, despite what fans like to think, there is no pricing formula for footballers. Comparing similar players doesn't help because there are two many variables it just comes down to what someone is willing to sell for or buy for. Where fans always so obsessed with player prices it seems like something that fans attach a lot of importance to now.
  21. Liverpool train ahead of Southampton tie - and there's no sign of Coutinho or Clyne http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-train-ahead-southampton-tie-12496894 Some good news at least if those two are out.
  22. I expect them to remove you any day........
  23. Is that even a valid comparison when comparing young players playing totally different positions?
  24. LOL Josh Sims has made a grand total of eight 1st team appearances (and not all of those were full games) and that's enough to decide he really doesn't look good enough ....**** me modern football fans
