I can't see us bringing in loads of players people wanting 5 or more new signings are going to be disappointed I think the club are already committed to buying Ings and I doubt there will be loads in the kitty after that. There are plenty to move on but that's easier said than done given PL wages and how poor most of them are. I suspect we are only going to get a couple of new signings this summer if that's the case a good striker is the main one for me after that we need another right back I quite like Valery but if he gets injured we are reduced to playing JWP (or Stephens) there. Personally I think midfield is OK especially if Lemina can get fit, a back three of Vest, Yoshida and Jan Bednarek is workable, the goal keepers are good enough. Upfront we are gash though Ings is ok but can't be relied on, Long and Austin are past their sell by date that leaves Redmond is our main attacking threat and we need more up front. In an ideal world their would be a lot of outs and some good quality players coming in. In the real saints world, I suspect, Ralph will have to perform miracles again with much the same team with a couple of new faces.

A very Meh season though it wasn't all terrible beating Arsenal and Spurs at home where highlights. Valery breaking through, Jan Bednarek emerging as a decent player and Redmond stepping up has been nice to watch as well. Just hoping Ralph can get a couple of new faces in, maybe find another youngster or two that can step up to the big league and we can offload the dross this summer.

Reddders!!! makes the break through at last...

20 million isn't it? funny Solent talking about how Liverpool have mugged off Bournemouth on a few players recently.

I had hoped to finish the season on a high but we have limped to the end on the season really.

We're not exactly outplaying the worst team in the PL at the moment..

Citeh get one back

oh dear god...

Not surprisingly this game is bit Meh so far.

Bloody hell Solent I know the game is a bit rubbish but an we have a little bit less of the Liverpool love crap...

Always wary of stats like that for playing outside the PL ...Moi had 11 goals and 14 assists (plus 2 more goals and 2 assists in the CL) the season before we signed him. Of course the problem is why can't really afford good proven PL players so we have to take a punt on players in other leagues and hope they can step it up.

If ever there was a club and a sponsor better suited it would be saints and poundland….

yeah I vote for Victoria's secrets. Half time entertainment could be a nice little catwalk show. Maybe a load of VS models around on the matchday concourses and the matchday programme could be pretty good to with a model of the week section not to mention you could pick up the wife's Christmas present on matchday at the club shop ...

I thought that it was common knowledge that Ralph had told Austin to find a new club. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Mitrovic has scored 11 goals this season last bloody player to do that for us was Mane/Pelle he also has three assists and is first in the PL for Aerial battles won Imagine having a striker upfront who could actually win some headers when the ball is pumped aimlessly forward from our back line. I don't now if Mitrovic is the answer or if we would ever spend 30 million on him.... but I really want us to get a forward that can win the ball in the air, hold it up with his back to goal to bring other players into the game and get his head on our crosses to turn them into goals (ideally with a mean penalty and free kick ability)…..god I miss having Lambert upfront.

Well since Ralph has taken over I've watched us bang a hell of a lot of long balls straight up the pitch, and then watched our forward line win practically no headers or demonstrate any ability to hold the ball up whatsoever, so the ball comes straight back at us. So I think someone like Mitrovic would work pretty well the way we currently play especially in the later parts of games when we need to relieve the pressure on our back line. I

Great two teams with the biggest set of ******s for fans in the final who ever wins they are going to insufferable next season. Pompey, Liverpool and spurs the three teams I hate the most can't stand seeing any of them doing well. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

He won't be going anywhere he has the best contract of his career he'd be mad to give that up after only one season. Its the same with a lot of players we have most of them probably realise they won't be getting a better deal elsewhere so will sit on their contracts and "fight" for their place if they end up getting loaned out they might be happy enough but they won't be looking for a move away on less wages and no one can force them to.

These things are always awkward when you've had a ****e season. The last two seasons there has been very little to celebrate this season was better than last but still pretty Meh overall. Winning an award, in a season like this one, is usually a sign you where the least crap of a lot of crap rather than you where particularly good. Still I'm hoping for a good player clear out this summer, a couple of good signings that actually improve us (for a change), maybe a couple of the youngsters stepping up next season and Ralph doing a much better job than the last couple of managers. It does feel like next season will be better than the last couple even if its not an outstanding season.

they have some strange idea that because they are an English team we are all rooting for them...…. Bollix to that I hate ****ing Liverpool, as I expect must none Liverpool fans do, personally I want Ajax to win the CL.

I see the BCC live feed is going into full Liverpool ****fest….

Sounds like crap to me both McCarthy and Gunn have proved to be better keepers than Forster. Even at his best under Koeman there was a distinct feeling it was our defensive quality and organisation that made him look good rather than any ability of his own.
