Each place in the table is worth circa 3 million quid certainly something worth playing for especially given I owners seeming lack of cash.
-
Dear god that team why? I know where safe but we should be looking to finish the season as strong as possible. Another place or two in the table is worth a fair bit of money and I can see no point in giving some of those players time on the pitch when the clearly have no future here. Also what's this clamour to play 4-2-2-2 we look much better with three at the back. bit disappointed with that team selection
-
Probably not but if the ITK is right spurs do tend to be ****s about this sort of thing Morgan, Victor, Berahino to name a few. They love to unsettle a player to make them push for a move while make stupid low ball offers to the parent club. I doubt they would offer saints anything like a enough money its not the spurs way to pay the going rate.

Eirksen has 9 goals and 16 assists this season JWP has 7 goals and 0 assists (obviously JWP has played less minutes). Not quite a Tadic for Moi replacement but certainly I'd be disappointed as a spurs fan. I imagine spurs are only considering it because they think they can get JWP cheap I expect Levy to offer us 10 million while getting poch to text James love notes.

That's a bit annoying there are still six points left to play for even one more place up the table is worth cash that could go towards squad rebuilding Id rather we played our strongest available team last two games.
-
Good thing we are safe I'd hate to be going into the last two games needing results to stay up, with out Maya or Vest, and relying on Stephens at the back

So how many forum members marched in this one? Campaigners march through Southampton over Brexit frustrations https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/17603046.campaigners-march-through-southampton-over-brexit-frustrations/

234 goals before he was 13
-
I was just looking on the BBC at saints player stats and they have JWP down as 7 goals (decent from midfield) with 83% of his shots on target but no assists? Has he really not got an assist this season doesn't seem right? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/top-scorers

we could still finish as high as 12 (depending on other teams results) if we win our last two games I certainly want us to finish as high possible plus West Ham fans are mostly dicks so beating them is always good.

Sunderland have only lost 4 games all season (19 draws is pretty amazing though). Pompey by comparison have lost 8 games two of those to Charlton and they only managed two draws against Doncaster this season. Certainly not a formality for pompey in the play offs lets hope they lose the play offs to a team in red and white stripes.

What's with this desperation to play 4-2-2-2? we've generally looked decent playing with three at the back under Ralph it suits our player options better. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Surely same goes for Mitrovic though 11 goals in a relegation team is pretty good last time we had some one score 11 goals in a season was Pelle/Mane. He would certainly give us a different dimension upfront a forward who could actually win some headers would be quite novel. Last few seasons it has felt like opposition CBs have had a pretty easy ride against our light weight forwards. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Agree on this seasons form you'd have to think JWP and Bednarek would be in more demand the Hoj. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

The issue with Ings is his injury record. It's not that he isn't a decent player but his constant injuries suggest he will never reach his full potential every time he starts to find form and match fitness he gets injuries again. The price we are paying for him would be a good price if we where getting a full season of games out of him it's not so good if we are only getting a third of a stop start season out of him. Let's hope next season he stays fit history isn't on his side though.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

I'm renewing and so will my nipper but I'll wait until close to the loyalty renewal price deadline before I do no point giving them my money until I have to. TBF I've renewed the last few years despite the ****e on display at home so no reason not to now for what looks likely to be a much better season next time out

He did exactly what the manager asked him to do which was take it to the corner and see the game out to get the point we needed to be mathematical safe.
-
That's exactly what they where doing guess they heard Cardiff where losing, and a point was enough to stay up, so rather than trust our defence not to throw away another game they went for seeing the game out in the corner bit embarrassing but the right call I guess.
-
He works his tits off every game, his movement off the ball is very good and he is a decent finisher in general to. Fitness is the issue though he is always going to struggle to get a consistent run of games and match fitness going with a season constantly interrupted by low level injuries.
-
I had no problem with Gudio's effort or attitude in the few games he played for us can't say the same for Hoedt
-
It was a bit embarrassing but the players knew a point was enough for safety and given our defending it was probably a good move. Normally you only want to see that if you are winning with minutes to go.

Ajax to win the Champions league for me. I'll be happy for spurs to win nothing.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

It's the modern PL where finishing fourth is an achievement of epic proportions and finishing 7th is considered more important than winning the FA cup.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Can't agree about the overhaul. We've done well under Ralph but despite getting better the lack of quality in the squad keeps getting highlighted game after game. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

Strange game first twenty we where dominant they looked like a cat in headlights then they get a goal out of nothing and we just fall apart. Second half was more even but having gone in front we shoot ourselves in the foot again. Our game management when winning really needs addressing. I think today showed why we need to stick with a back three unless new defenders are brought in this summer. Long started well and faded, Ings tried but was ineffective everyone else was blowing hot and cold all game. Thought Gunn should have done better with their second and Armstrong really ****ed up for the third. I was amused by how delicate Bournemouth's players where going down at the faintest of touches Bless the Bournemouth lot at the end of the game. They had everyone out celebrating with their fans like they'd won the league. I think they even got the Kit man, coach driver and tea lady out there celebrating their greatest away draw ever.
