  1. Dell sized mentality....
  2. Bloody hell Mane is a good player but I think some of you are laying it on a bit thick. Assists wise, in the League, this season he is ranked along side Matt Ritchie, Pelle, Lallana and Wayne Rooney with 6 for the season and that's actually less than Troy Deeney and Wes Hoolahan. http://www.espnfc.com/barclays-premier-league/23/statistics/assists Goals wise, in the league, he scored the same number as Pelle, Wijnaldum and Marko Arnautovic he actually scored less than Andre Ayew, Troy Deeney and Defoe. http://www.espnfc.com/barclays-premier-league/23/statistics/scorers Like I said he is a good player and on his day in full flow I can't imagine there is any saints fan who doesn't get a little excited when he has the ball. On the other hand he went from Liverpool away to Liverpool at home with out scoring in the league or even being that good. Good player I hope stays but world class and irreplaceable I don't think so.
  3. What a steaming pile of horse turd....
  4. What's Mane got left on his contract 2 years? wonder if the club will make him do one more year like Morgan and Victor or cash in now if anyone was to offer £40 million I think the club would be hard pressed to say no.
  5. All those years transcribing soviet radio intercepts wasn't wasted then.... Fair play for getting it down (same to St Armstrong) though
  6. yep I agree. I think the big boys got a bit complacent but all this season just gone has done is galvanise them to bring in better managers and new (better) players. Not to mention the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool will only have the league to worry about next season.
  7. Indeed who do we want as our European feeder club...someone Dutch (like Chelsea and Arnhem), FC Midtjylland or maybe Celtic...
  8. I'm confused are we believing Les now? I thought the consensus over the last two summer was that he is a big fat fibber....
  9. You and I must be reading different reports Southampton refused to sell Wanyama last year but a gentlemen’s agreement, that the south coast club would listen to offers at the end of this season, is believed to have been reached. Nothing to do with spurs as far as I can see other than they might make an offer
  10. My understanding was we have a Gentleman's agreement with Victor that we would consider "good" offers for him this summer after blocking his move to spurs last summer. It's now up to spurs (or whoever) to make a good offer (what ever the club thinks that is).
  11. Obviously at a lower level but Steve De Ridder was a big let down quite hyped at the time but was actually **** (Reading goal aside). Tadanari Lee was another that at the time seemed an exciting signing but er...... wasn't
  12. Cheers guys? blimey a lot more than I realised.
  13. Just reading this little piece on the BBC with Fraser Forster Fraser Forster: Southampton 'want to have real go' in Europa League http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36387873 This bit caught my eye "We've got players who've played in the Champions League," said 28-year-old Forster. My first thought was obviously Bertrand, Vic (not that he will be here) and Fraser. I guess VVD has as well? is there anyone else in the current saints squad who has played CL?
  14. apart from poster in post 274.............
  15. Seeing as he left a club with a shot at CL football every season to join us I suspect CL is a lot less of an issue for Victor than dirty great wads of cash....
  16. I thought special was just a term applied to Liverpool fans.......
  17. But history.... Klopp... the Kop.... Second bestest fans in the world third biggest club in world football..... Why would he not want to go there?
  18. Carrying on with the flippin obvious articles. Vic has declined our new contract according to this. Big shocker... http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/wanyama-winks-at-tottenham-by-rejecting-long-term-southampton-deal-4131239
  19. Never head a problem with my two. Rickie Lambert (not a glamour signing;)) pretty much turned my two into life long saints fans single handed....
  20. yep if we were still in the lower leagues I think we'd see a lot more academy boys in around the first team now if they want to be anywhere near the first team they need to be exceptional at a young age.
  21. I cant even remember his name. He was the guy that came on loan. from Italy, played half a pre-season friendly and then left?
  22. Maybe they haven't been impressed maybe they are all talking behinds Ron's back about Leicester.....
  23. Maybe Nolan is ITK and saints are signing...
