Personally I think both Koeman and Poch did good jobs but both acted like c unts when the left....but hey aren't we all used to it? it's like water off a ducks back now. No doubt a couple of players will do the same this summer to.
-
I think his new agent might have realised he admitted that Koeman had agreed terms before saints had actually agreed to let him talk to Everton so quickly back tracked...

Rivals/Other Prem clubs transfer thread

I heard Zlatan has cancelled the Man U gig upon hearing about the new power house of PL football.... Everton the chance to reunite with Koeman and smash a glass ceiling is just to good to turn down.... -
It's hardly as simple as comparing the two head to head games. Arsenal failed to beat us last season and got spanked at SMS yet I'd hardly say out team is not far off Arsenal as a team.
-
You can add Swansea to that they got new American investors today as well.
-
You weren't at SMS last season when their fans decided to boo and shout down the clubs pre-match remembrance of Markus's death then.....classless knobs the lot of them.
-
It took Newcastle 80 million just to get relegated ....
-
No. Just Koeman's new agent and some Media articles in the telegraph and echo that are pretty clearly being briefed by saints. Don't expect anything official from the clubs until everything is sorted and signed.
-
Don't know but I was quite amused to see Troy Deeney actual got more league goals and assists than Mane last season.
-
I think he is an excellent manager and has done a very good job (as is and did poch) he will do a good job at Everton. I do however think they both acted like ****s in the way the have engineered their moves showing the club **** all respect for giving them a shot in English football so if they both ultimately fail I shall laugh.
-
As soon as he was prepared to talk to Everton is the moment you knew his heart wasn't in it here. If he changed his mind or it fell through with Everton he'd still have to leave Southampton anyway.
-
I think people are really over selling that point we don't need a long term manager we've coped quite well changing every 2-2.5 seasons. We need young(ish), hungry with a desire to do well. Pellegrini will just be looking for a comfy payday before retirement IMO.
-
Our squad was capable of that last season, the missing ingredient was a competent manager

FdB, Emery and any other good European coach.

I'm pretty convinced Les and co are not deliberately lying to people. When players and managers ( or more likely their agents) are making positive noises about staying they seem to assume they are being honest ( and lets face quite a few of us did with Koeman to). The board can be accussed of being naive at times certainly but not actively dishonest IMO. More important is that the club has good secessionist planning in place for this sort of thing which they seem to. -
Are they? I thought the other day the had this down as a done deal in all but name?
-
I'd be surprised if Vic sees his future at Everton, always got the impression he thinks he is a big six player, on the other hand if Everton want to make him the 6th best player in the world I'm sure he will be interested.
-
Never stopped Poch plus he worked in Russia so I guess language is not a problem for him.
-
Why? since the takeover none of our managers have gone past 2 full seasons and it's done us no harm. Managers have short shelf lives in general if they don't get poached they'll end up sacked.
-
Yeah but you have to remember it's at a club who sell on talent to keep the club books balanced and those three positions where achieved while winning the Europa league.
-
Great so that leaves us Howe or Moyes if Guan is to be believed (as AVB has already ruled out a return to the PL)
-
Reading his post again it seems those managers listed are the ones he knows are confirmed on the short list so I guess that might be some he doesn't know about ...at least I'm hoping because I only like one of the four listed.
-
Yeah well they won't need that with Ronald as manager especially with a 100 million burning a hole in his pocket....
-
jesus other than Emery I'm not inspired by that list at all. Any reason De Boer isn't there? seems like a very good fit to me.
-
Basically the two players they were linked with last summer. I guess he is just taking a punt on past interest to look like an ITK. No reason for clubs to keep agreed deals secret until July the 1st and I'm pretty sure if this guy knows about this someone in the press would to. Totally resigned to losing Victor and have been for ages so not going to bat and eyelid when he does **** off.

Someone will be an Everton fan ....
