Mane clearly has more potential than Denney which always adds value. But really don't attacking players raise and fall on goals (and to a lesser extent assists) other attributes are good to have (Long being a pest for one) but surely when pricing up attacking players clubs will look at goals (or goals created) before other stuff?

Well I don't think Denney is a bad player. I also think some saints fans have the blinkers on when it comes to Mane. He's a good player (he could well turn into a great player) but perhaps not as good as some saints fans would like to think. I also find interesting that most would happily ditch Pelle (or sell Long ) think £12 million was to much for schlong but think Mane is 50 million player despite all three having pretty similar goal tallies and assist records (in fact exactly the same in the case of Mane and Pelle).

you know Deeney actually got more league goals and assists this season than Mane....

less the Everton paid us for Koeman I guess.

No I'm well aware of Les's sound bites but you can't set the first team formation in stone the manager needs to be able to play to suit the players he has available and the opposition not forced to play a rigid system.

Could be an interesting one not sure how players will view Leicester. I guess they have a bit more cash to splash than some teams now but weather they are a draw in the way a team like Liverpool, spurs etc are (despite winning the league) remains to be seen.

Didn't stop a load of our players signing on to play for Brendan Rodgers. I even remember Clyne positively drooling at the thought of one on one sessions with Brendan when he signed for Liverpool.

Emery is being courted by mega rich PSG there is no scenario were we can compete there..

I like him and would be happy for him to stay. I guess the one year left on his contract and his as age make things a bit tricky though. He'd probably like one last decent contract before the twilight of his career. I'm pretty sure he'd be happy to stay saints with the right contract but I doubt the club so to much value in giving him another 3-4 year contract.

Most likely with saints in the Europa league a lot of sides strengthening and Everton nailed on PL winners next season is going to be tough. Also realistically we aren't going to improve our league position indefinitely season upon season... Fans probably need to manage their expectations a bit.

Yep I think Koeman changed his mind very suddenly as soon as Everton gave him 7 million reasons to do so. Up to that point everything was going according to plan as far as the club are concerned. All these ITK backroom issues and such like coming to light come across as a bit of face saving from the club.

Answer my own question he also manages two other managers John van den Brom of AZ Aron winter who apparently coaches the Dutch under under 18s So I guess they were just *****ing about Koeman ( or talking about Pelle as I see Albers is his agent to)

Ok so Ron's old agent has been speaking to Les a lot over the past few weeks but not about FDB. Could be just *****ing about how Ron has screwed them both over I suppose. Does he manage any other managers other than Koeman and FDB?
