  1. As far as I can tell Garcia is the only one manager to turn us down because, it was reported, he wants a CL club other than that I have no idea who the club have and haven't talked to but you seem ITK so please share all the mangers who haven't wanted to talk to us..
  2. The current Russian manager is working for free getting paid expenses only because the Russian FA are broke so 10 euros is about all they can afford....
  3. if he even gets paid....... After succeeding Fabio Capello as Russia coach last July, Slutsky had a contract until the end of the Euros and was only being paid expenses by his national union because the sacking of Capello nearly bankrupted the Russian FA. The decision to remove former England manager Capello left Russian authorities £30million in debt after the Italian received a £10.5m pay-off. 4. I thought Garcia turned us down a few days ago. I can't see us being interested in Wednesday's manager if we dismissed Howe as not experienced enough in the top flight.
  5. I like Pelle but I get the feeling not to many saints fans will be that devastated by a 31 year old forward leaving.
  6. Looks like Liverpool may well be looking elsewhere http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-planning-andros-townsend-transfer-8237792
  7. who the hell makes a fake twitter account just to post up crap? odd
  8. Looks like Koeman will get to keep Lukaku as according to his agent only a a football global power club can afford him..... http://www.skysports.com/ football/news/11671/10320419/romelu-lukaku-will-only-leave-everton-for-global-power-agent
  9. Does anybody else think crossing the ball is a dying art? In all the games I've watched in this tournament the ability to put crosses onto this box has be woeful. Either they don't beat the first defender or the sail right over everyone and out of play on the other side. When someone does occasionally put a good cross in no one from their team seems to make the effort to get on the end of it.
  10. Apparently not. For such a great player, who we will struggle to replace, there seems to be very little interest from anyone, other than spurs, to sign him up.
  11. There are two or three clubs ( Stoke, us and west brom) reportedly after Redmond which creates a bidding war. Spurs ( surprisingly) seem to be the only team that wants Victor which weakens the clubs hand somewhat.
  12. Laurent Blanc it is .....
  13. Well this is a relief http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/10319512/southampton-not-considering-walter-zenga-as-replacement-for-ronald-koeman
  14. That's fine if they are players that people want to stay at the club but it works both ways imagine players like Osvaldo, Gaston or Martina getting 5 year deals...
  15. I wasn't particularly enthused by Pellegrini but if its him or the other two I'll take him...
  16. So if we ignore the thing that made him a bit of a **** then he wasn't really being a bit of a ****...can't argue with that logic. Stating Victor acted like a knob in no way stops people discussing his replacement. Seems to me there are two types of fan every time a player leaves. The "he was **** we can do better" fans and the " He is great we will never get a player this good again replacing him is almost impossible" fans. Chances are neither are correct...
  17. Fishing that would put Robson Green to shame... fantastic bait CB got them swimming on to your rod in large numbers...
  18. suggestions how the club do that? Some players will always see themselves as being better than spending their entire careers at Southampton short of us becoming the English Real Madrid I'm really not sure what you want the club to do.
  19. why would you do that.....
  20. The club has an idea how they want the club to be run and how things are done ( hell they even want to import the "Southampton way" around the world). In itself that is no bad thing but I think they have to careful not to become to dogmatic about it. The issue,I guess, will always be about just how much power the manager has at the club.
  21. It is getting to the point were Moyes is starting to look pretty good about now....
  22. Yeah I don't doubt that. I could see Wijnaldum leaving Newcastle though but if Everton want him and Newcastle want 24 million that's a quarter of Everton's 100 million ceiling smashing budget gone on one player.
  23. So what's that make Wijnaldum worth then £24 million? Everton's millions aren't going to go very far at this rate...
  24. Only going to be a problem for about three games a season....
  25. Not from me always thought it made perfect sense. The days of all powerful managers running all things football at clubs is waning (if not already gone) football has changed managers come and go frequently. It makes little sense to give them lots of cash to build teams full of players loyal to the manager only for them to leave or get sacked. Of course you could argue the club has clearly abandoned that policy with Koeman...
