still a lot less than Everton are prepared to throw at Koeman ....
-
Is a bit of a mystery isn't it? He has wasn't doing anything he was told, players hate him he was stopping all our youth top talent from breaking into the first team yet the club offer him a new contract?
-
It does seem to collect all the (alleged) ITK snippets that have popped up on here in one nice narrative...
-
Interesting I would have thought Koeman would have got quite a bit of support from the fans for this bit though It wasn't so much about the personal money on offer, but more with getting more to spend on new players than was on offer -- and forcing Sadio Mane to stay again against his will
-
unlikely seeing as he left the club a couple of days after Toby signed for spurs.....
-
You lot are thinking like fans... I don't like what Ronnie has done either but I'm willing to bet most managers won't think he has done much wrong and would view the club playing hardball as unfair. Which could well effect future recruitment if we get a reputation as difficult. The idea of seeing out contracts only exists in the mind of fans not managers and players.
-
And how do you think future managers will view it? Getting good replacements will be harder if people think we will stand in the way of future career progression.
-
Yes he did though I seem to recall him almost walked away from us when he thought scunny weren't going to be properly compensated. Like I've said I understand players/managers leaving us just wish they'd do it with a bit respect and class.

Club history is important to the supporter's of that club. I look back with fondness on all sorts of moments in my clubs history but I'm realistic enough to know it means **** all to fans of other clubs. Trying to convince other fans of other clubs your club is great/big/successful or whatever by citing anything that happened more than a couple of seasons ago is just a bit sad and pointless because for most fans a team is only as good as it's last season.
-
That would give 100% commitment to the team a new meaning for the players.....

So do we know how much this deal is worth? I've not seen it mentioned anywhere. -
Well some bad news is Phil Parkinson has just taken over as Bolton boss. Just to think our first season in league 1 he was going to be the guy to lead Charlton back to the big time assisted by Shelvey...
-
Needs more experience at the top level. We're in Europe I don't want a guy who is still learning the PL trying to figure out European football at the same time. Plus you have to question Bournemouth's end of season form which was poor (was it just "on the beach stuff"?). didn't do particular well at Burnley but seems to be comfortable at Bournemouth. Just think we can do a bit better Howe hasn't really done much more than Adkins achieved so far and we decided Adkins wasn't good enough 4 seasons ago.

So Everton are going to pay Koeman twice what Roy earns to manage England.....
-
Which gives us loads of time to randomly name every manager in the world in a desperate attempt to figure out the mystery guy.....
