Les Reed Video Interview (From 2 Years Ago)

I think we've reached a point where we take everything Ronnie says/said with a mountain sized pinch of salt..... -
Isn't every manager a stepping stone manager? I mean if we are taking them from a smaller club they've shown they're happy to move to something bigger....in fact any manager will drop us if they feel something better has come along.
-
Assuming any of the shortlist are really on the clubs radar seems like our shortlist is the same as Everton's was a week ago swapping out Koeman for Howe. Hopefully the club have compiled a list a little more comprehensive than the most obvious out of work managers and the obligatory young English manager.
-
I agree with that bit. There seems little point in the club keeping a list of potential manger replacements if it's not kept up to date.
-
He said he was staying so many times I certainly believed him I imagine the club did to.
-
interesting... Perhaps more important is the transfer budget that Everton are promising, with investor Farhad Moshiri clearly determined to make a major statement in his first summer at the club after being unable to influence decision-making at Arsenal where he jointly held a 30 per cent stake. going to be a hands on type is he...
-
That's a hell of a lot people to speak for...
-
I'm really not convinced this was some masterstroke by the club. Despite a few posters claiming all was not right behind the scenes the club clearly wanted to give Koeman a new contract and thought he was about to put pen to paper. It seems it was only when they found out how much money Everton were willing to throw at Koeman that the club decided to let him go. The compensation seems decent for a guy with only one year on his contract and hopefully they have the replacement well in hand.
-
Really? the last few years have been some of my best ever supporting saints have to say we seem to be doing more right than wrong.
-
I'm still shocked the club ever thought he was staying I mean he was pretty clear in his intentions.....
-
A good team yes .....Everton's team........... err no he's a good manager not a ****ing miracle worker.
-
I think you'll find Everton were the first team to have a game with Needle in 1902...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/paris-saint-germain-set-hire-8132589 Assuming the Emery to PSG stories are true how about Laurent Blanc probably a bit (ok a lot) above us unless he fancies a crack at the PL....
-
well that's worth a
-
TBH I think he thought he had taken saints as far as he could. I think even he was surprised how we finished this season. With his stock high and some club prepared to throw cash it him he probably decided to take it while it was on offer.
-
Really? I love the pretence that we have now given him permission to talk to Everton. As if him an Everton talking through his agent isn't like real speaking...
-
Marie Curie they helped after my mother-in-law before she passed away two weeks ago. https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/
-
is that real?
-
Haven't got time to link but I think his agent saying its a done deal would be a good indication...
-
Totally different situation. We won't sell to Everton this summer unless a release clause is involved ( and if they do exist bigger clubs than Everton will be in for VVD and Forster).
-
That only happens in this release clauses really exist...
-
Nothing but I doubt we want to pay someone a years salary to do nothing. Seems to me we hold the strong hand though unless Everton wish to walk away. All so seems this would only matter to everton if they really want some of our players.
-
Its got nothing to do with being to big for our boots he just doesn't fit the sort of manager the club goes for. If he was coming straight from Spain to manage for the first time in the PL maybe but coming from man city what motivation is going to have. He's made it clear he wants to stay in the PL if he comes here it would just be for convenience rather than any great desire to succeed.
