I'm pretty sure the club have said as much in the past they want to get to a position where the manager (really just a first team coach) leaving has little effect on the team which is why there is a committee for transfers.

I've said it before but Deeney actual scored and assisted more goals in the league than Mane last season, he is also Watford's captain and talisman and they clearly aren't that keen to let him go. I also read that Watford want 24 million for him after his previous club get their cut of a sell on clause hence the high price tag.

I wouldn't get your hopes up the fact that the club has put a £40 million pound price tag on him says to me they are willing to sell at the right price other wise they'd just say he is not for sale....

add in a 50K for every card we will be quids in.

No more crazy than those suggesting the team is ****ed without him. A great player when in the mood but its not like we are a one man team.

The club has ambition but they want to get there on their own terms. I think the club tends to be looking long term while a lot of modern managers seem to want come in splash some cash and get out. Maybe this is more with long term slow growth ( club) vs short term instant results ( managers). As a club building towards long term goals and success is a good policy as a manager maybe that isn't what your career needs.

But he did that with a squad far, far better than ours. What he achieved with arguably the best squad in the league, in recent times, is good but probably should have been better really. He's not a terrible choice by any means and if the three listed are our only options I'd go for him to.

Not in the CL though and actually finished below his old team..... Players always seem to back themselves to do well at big clubs it's amazing how many don't (not just saints look at Delph, Sterling and Bonny)

They are all failures already the club is in meltdown we are as good as relegated. That being the case I shall spend next season ****ing myself stupid over poch and Victor crying about what could have been if we were only spurs. If Ron wins any games I will also bang on about how Les should have offered him anything to make him stay and how Ron is so much better than the ****** we got in.

not saying much though Lambert, Lovern, Morgan and Chambers all went to CL sides worked out well for all of them.

One could argue he will have to do with out all those players here (or players of that quality) and that the replacements in the citeh squad should still be of a decent quality (certainly comparable to anything in the saints squad) so if that's his excuse we aren't the team for him.

bet you said the same about Morgan, Lallana, Lovern, Clyne, Shaw, Chambers, Lambert and poch......and yet the club is doing OK:?

People said the same about Morgan....saints fans seem to have become quite good at over estimating how good players who leave us are the last few seasons.

What did we pay for him £12 million? if we get £11 million back with one year left on his contract that's not a bad return. Contract length makes a big difference people wanting lots of money for Vic are being unrealistic.
