  1. Being negative but I'm not sure even European football will make players stay. What was it Morgan said in a recent interview? he still wants to play for a big club or words to those effect. We can't really change that image of us not being a big club very easily (mostly because we aren't a big club). Even if we get CL football and teams like Liverpool and Man U don't there still going to be seen as un upgrade over Saints by players I think.
  2. Because Bearsy is like
  3. So what Mark Hughes is the new Mopo......
  4. LOL Stoke lose to Burnley despite 73% possession and 25 attempts on goal.
  5. Wonder if they still want Pardew out now..
  6. TBH I'm not even convinced Victor deserves a spot ahead of Cork and JWP certainly doesn't he really isn't close to Jack Cork right now IMO
  7. Next summer Morgan and Victor will be off to bigger clubs and there will a nice big motorway into the first team for our academy boys. That's when we will need Jack Cork (IMO) to provide some experience in a midfield......unless we just let him go for nothing.
  8. Because he couldn't get a game at his parent club and no one else was interested ...........would be my guess.
  9. Surely he would only be blocking those players if he was a better player if Jack wasn't considered better he wouldn't be blocking them because they'd be in the team instead of him. Unless the club is so desperate to include academy players they will ship out better players to accommodate youth players which would be an odd thing to do.
  10. According the BBC poch had this to say in his pre match press conference On his job security and relationship with the chairman: "I chat to Daniel (Levy) everyday. I always feel the support from him and the club. I am happy here." To me that sounds like a manager who is ****ed...........
  11. Well if Morgan and Steven aren't 100% I'd rather they sat out Villa (who by all accounts have a 1st team decimated by injuries) and be fully fit for the three games after. Plus I'd quite like to see Reed given a full run out.
  12. So will it be a midfield of Jack, victor and Harrison Reed Monday night?
  13. Really wish I knew why the club don't seem to rate Cork don't think the lad has ever let us down.
  14. Only the one started on here which wasn't even a rumour more of a musing......
  15. Midfielder Adam Lallana says Liverpool are still aiming for a top-four finish this season and thinks it would be "a remarkable achievement" for the club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30144140
  16. From Villatalk Southampton have also got a bit of an injury crisis for this one, they're down to the bares bones. Where the hell did they get that idea or am I missing something?
  17. I think it will only work if ITV hire a great main pundit like .........
  18. And it's back the best bit of pre match build up Lawro reckons we will get mugged Citizen Khan (a villa supporter) thinks we will win Aston Villa v Southampton (20:00 GMT) This is a big game for both sides and I am really looking forward to it. It makes so much difference to the atmosphere for players to be playing in a night match under floodlights and it is more exciting for fans compared to a Saturday lunchtime kick-off. The thing about Southampton's great start to the season is that it means they are now a scalp, which brings a different kind of pressure. Villa ended a run of six defeats with a draw against West Ham but, even with Christian Benteke suspended, I think they might surprise a few people here. I am not taking anything away from Saints, who have been excellent in pretty much every way on the pitch this season and, off it, are a great example of how to run a football club. It is just that I think Villa might mug them on Monday. Lawro's prediction: 1-0 Adil's prediction: 0-2 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29993756 Nice to see Lawro championing Liverpool giving Lambert a decent run of games with Sturridge's injury still on going.
  19. Oh dear god no can you imagine this nob talking before every highlight game
  20. Don't get your hopes up according the BBC The result means that Pompey are still looking for their first victory in the FA Cup since they defeated Tottenham in the semi-final of the 2010 competition.
  21. Thanks it's been a long time since anyone described me in a youthful way:)
  22. Damn it, I might be the only one, but I like saints v pompey derby games the way things stand I might be ****ing 80 before I see another one.
  23. Probably only for one more season though. I'm glad we kept Morgan as he is a great player but the flip side is players who think they can go else where won't want to sign contract extensions, giving the club greater power, and risk having their move blocked by the club the way Morgan did. I do wonder if that is why J-rod won't sign the newly offered contract
