The only role MLT played was to try and secure a deal to rescue the club. It failed due to his backer pulling out. MLT will always be a legend regardless, your friend Lowe will always be seen as the architect of disaster 19... always. Frankly your judgement is highly questionable if you are prepared to look at it any other way... but then we all know your judgement is questionable. Still in denial? Wotton has only done one good thing since being at Saints - he told JP, Wotte and Lowe the youth policy was utter rubbish. Apart from that... I am struggling to think of a decent game he's ever had.

Good points, I am not panicking yet either. I just have the evidence of my own eyes to gauge the chances for tomorrow, and unless AP gives the current team of Lowe legacy's a kick up the jacksy I think we'll be lucky with a draw.

Could be that he's still recovering from injuries and is rusty, but certainly as things stand Thomas is not good enough.

Well as things stand now we will relegate to League 2. But, I think we are still team building with ONE manager whereas the last two relegation seasons involved crap managers and more than one manager.

They can be beaten, but given that I watched a stronger Saints team alot last year and this Swindon team a couple of times I tell you now that we will be lucky to draw such is the current standard of Lowe's legacy team.

Chez's summary highlights our problems well for me. We need to see some improvement from Perry/Thomas or remove them. James, Lancashire, Thomson, (although never seen) Jacob, all appear not good enough for this league. Sell them. Lallana is a strange one. Potential, but bench player for me for now. Wotton has been shocking since he arrived to be honest. So, we essentially have a spine of a team of: Davis, Murty, Harding (perhaps), Spiderman, Lambert and Rasiak (who is off with Sagga by the looks of it). We need 5-6 players. ASP.

Agreed. But, lets not assume that AP will get his players and remind Marcus AP needs those reinforcements.

I dont think we have a choice. He has to play... unless AP can buy someone better and we can put him on the bench until he matures... fingers crossed!

You may be correct, and I think you are if I am honest. But, AP wont get his reinforcement if we all accept our players MIGHT be good enough. There is enough doubt to imply they simply are not with -9 points and one point from 2 games. As I say unless imprvements are made it will take us 18 games to reach zero points! AP needs reinforcements.

No. I think 19th place is about right if AP gets 2-3 players now and 2-3 more in January.

Can you not read properly? The fact is we have -9 points and loads of **** players. IF (and I agree with you that this IS likely) we get reinforcements AP has a chance of keeping us up. Meantime on current form it will take exactly 18 games to reach zero points!

I think we have -9 points and no evidence yet of enough quality players throughout the team to do anything yet other than relegate. IF we bring in more players and stick with AP - which is highly likely - then yes we may be OK. But, forget about a playoff place! At this moment in time however the facts are that our team is not good enough for League 1 - it is League 2 standard and has been since December. League 2 quality players cannot be brought up to League 1 players by a good manager... if you're crap, you're crap. Simples. But, I agree TDDs, AP will get reinforcements, just I think he needs 5-6, but he's only asking for 2-3.

Gillett is tenacious and doent know when to give up. A play maker too. But, inexperienced. For me he's another bench player for a season or two but as there is simply no one else YET good enough in midfield from the current team he certainly should play.

Agreed - plus however 2-3 further midfielders and a replacement for Rasiak when he's sold.

I disagree - we have few quality players and alot of points to make up. The only thing I find worrying about APs comments is his request at the end for 2-3 more players. We need 5-6 IMHO.... unless he means 2-3 now and 3-4 in January!
