Absolutely. We're actually sitting at minus 10 points with a League 2 standard team. Methinks relegation - as we currently stand - is a dead cert. That said. add the AP factor AND more importantly half a dozen experienced players and we stand a chance.

...and at the moment we're one of the worst. AP has some players to buy... and fast. I guess it will take him a couple of weeks for him to make the same assessment as the rest of us once he's seem more of them.

Whats more I have a feeling that the majority of League 1 teams are far better too. We need at least half a dozen experienced men - and we need them very soon.

I think we have the right to be bitter. Afterall we have watched him mismanage the very thing that means so much to all of us on this site. Who hired every crap manager we had and who lost the good ones? Nothing went right on his shift - draw a graph of league positions and look at the start and finish. As the man said himself 'its a results driven business'. Even the myth of his business and financial acumen was humiliatingly blown away in the end by his Barclays Bank removal. Blinkered? Nah... Absolutely right! This is a super appointment and I for one am delighted that AP has arrived. I hope we take him on a long contract... consistency is key now. New owner, new manager, new ambition.... no debt, no plc, no Lowe, no second rate manager. Now we need about 10 decent players to reinforce Kelvin Davies and we're destined for real greatness!! Chuffed to bits! Being a Saints fan just got even better.
