  1. One sentence? Southampton FC is for sale...at last.
  2. lol. Scooby, Sundance, 19, take your pick !
  3. or a better dancer...?
  4. Very good point... smell the fresh air! PLC is dead.
  5. KEEP ATTENDING ! Keep the spirit of Southampton going this season until the last game!
  6. I'm not sure we're going to need fundraising
  7. Just reread that article. Its actually very clever in that the blame for us avoiding a point deduction will fall on the out going Mr Lowe (a channel for all other chairman's anger) and on the FA and Mahwinney (a man who, largely due to his harsh treatment of Luton, many in the footballing community believe may shortly need to fall on his sword). Clever, very clever.
  8. Unfortunately I know he can't. But he will need to reassure us that the deal taken was in the best interests of all parties at least.
  9. This is what I am getting at when I call for Mr Fry to say 'Club before Bank'. There are no doubt some wealthy bids in for the Club, speculation has it 3 'serious' offers thus far. But, for the Club to succeed Barclays will need to cream off enough to satisfy itself that it has achieved a good deal under the circumstances but leave enough to rebuild and take the club forward. We shouldnt be concerned with just survival. We have an important opportunity to go one better. Clearly there are many interested buyers for the Club, hopefully we do have enough to move on.
  10. I agree with that. You have to gamble to achieve success. We did and nearly pulled it off. We should however have sold there and then to the next consortium to do the same. The new owners must never run the club like Lowe has - a continually 'safe' system for plc survival that gradually eroded moral and results and position in the league. Simply, either we buy success or we gamble. If the gamble fails - sell and let the next owner gamble again. Sooner or later it will work.
  11. Have to laugh at that bit.
  12. I will say it again to Mr Fry: please reassure us in your next piece in The Echo that the deal sought will primarily be in the interests of the Club, not the dead duck plc or the Bank. Positive stuff though! I knew there were buyers out there... shame Lowe didnt sell last summer and avoid all of this utter nonsense and relegation. Can hardly accuse those of us that pleaded for him to do so of hindsight on this issue. Regardless of the spin Lowe is putting on his media interviews, he has really ****ed up our Club for too many years more than was necessary. He has left us with poor management, a demoralised bunch of experienced players, and broken kids. He has set us up for League 2 not 1. Still... here's hoping for a sensible buyer who wants to be a hero and the hope that Lowe never darkens the steps of SMS again.
  13. I hope SLH plc finally dies now. Forever.
  14. He's history.
  15. or should we keep him afterall? Walk like an Egyptian!
  16. I believe we're going down too.
  17. I agree - yet to get an explanation from anyone as to why Derby (in similar circumstances) avoided the deduction but we may now not. Sorry ... but if the presedence has been set with Derby we too should avoid the penalty.
  18. Didnt go... but result is a good one albeit irrelevant... we are League 1 with League 2 youth.
  19. Yes, I think that covers it well.
  20. Agreed. Is it true that our case is similar to Derby's though? ie Derby were not deducted points. If so, I hope we get the same result.
  21. Agree with that. Part of my thinking on Ince was that I suspect after being stung in the Premiership last time he might stay and see the job done at Saints - we'd have the Premiership potential unlike MK Dons as well.
  22. LOL - some of them should certainly be hanging in the City Art Gallery!
  23. Lowe can tell it 'as it is' all he likes. Bottom line is he's told so many lies, given so many mistruths and been so desperately culpable for the vast majority of the poor leadership decisions made at this club over the last 14 years that no one believes him anyway. Let him try and appease his very bruised ego all he likes for a couple of weeks. Once the new owners are in we will never have to hear from him ever again. He's a loser - proven loser. A man who some said had one trait - financial acumen - but even that has been blown out of the water by Barclays Bank who shot him as soon as he faltered. Sorry but this man is , was and will always be a fake. He'll be gone forever soon.
  24. Patience. Although I would reiterate: We need the right deal for the Club... not necessarily the right deal for the Bank.
