I think this serves only one important purpose given the names now being linked to serious bids for the club... it keeps the club in the media spotlight at an important time and provides the world with one very important and serious message: This is a club with a huge fanbase that cares. A fan base that turn out despite the manager and his team and pack SMS when times are tough. A fan base that packed SMS in the Premiership and will again. This is a club worth buying - and its party due to acts like this this which demonstrate the true potential of this club. Nice one!

I think you'll find that there is every chance that the x3 'serious' bid (Mr Fry's words) are legit. The problem with football club ownership is usually the owners. Once they have one they dont wish to let go of it, Leeds is another example of this. We have seen it with the likes of Lowe et al here and at many other clubs. There has always been and will always be buyers interested in buying a well founded, large fanbased clubs with potential. I think the futures bright.

GM - Fry isnt going to sue the League unless he's on a cert to win. All he has to do is threaten to, if the FA dont have a leg to stand on. If he accepts it and rolls over we lose 10 points. If he is being robust (and it looks like he is) then we stand a chance.

If theres a loophole and we're playing by the rules theres no reason we should be docked points and I hope the administrators threaten legal action against the FA if we are. Duncan - this is exactly what I mean when I have been typing that it would be nice for Mr Fry to announce that he will consider the best offer for the Club rather than the Bank per se. Can't see him doing that - but some reassurance is needed.

The key bit that should be in bold is SEEK INVESTMENT. Lowe failed to attract any for some strange incompetent reason. That's why Barclay's sacked him. No investment and bounced a cheque.
