FOOD FOR THOUGHT ..... This time last year ... Our Ex Chairman had ditched Pearson, which, IMHO, started the landslide towards Administration That, in turn has led us to being taken over by Markus Leibherr, with NO debts, and things are on the UP How ironic then, to think what would have happened IF we had had Pearson in charge last season ??? IMHO, he would have steered us to Mid Table, Gates would have been bigger, and we would NOT have gone into Admin .......... and LOWE WOULD STILL BE THERE So, after all my Rants about Lowe, I have to eat humble pie .... THANK YOU Rupert for NOT keeping Pearson .......... It has led us to having our Club back, free of debt ...... and, of course, free of YOU

After over Twelve years "in charge" at St Mary's, he "allegedly" lost all his money, and left "Penniless" ....... poor soul ........ Makes you wonder exactly where his money is sourced from to afford top lawyers ..... they're not exactly £7 per hour + LV's ........
-
Who ??? The Kid ??? .... or the **** Copper that told him to hide ???? .... Nice to have the Strong Arm of The Law protecting us .... innit ???

He must run a Burger van outside then ..........

It will be interesting to see HOW desperate he is to go ......... by how much a Pay Cut he'll take Not many of the other 91 Clubs have been knocking on his door

I agree ... the Football League should take a good long look at tiself There is a vast difference in the likes of Premiership Clubs taking out massive HP LOANS ( cos that is what they are) to fund MegaMillion transferes ..... as opposed to the likes of Bournemouth, Darlington, etc etc , who are fighting a DAILY battle just to keep solvent YET IT IS THE SMALL CLUBS, that cannot defend themselves that the Mighty FA go for I bet you, that WHEN a BIG Club "fails" financially after a circa £100 outlay, the FA will be POWERLESS to do anything, because the BIG Clubs are so BI(G now, it is THEY that can and will call the shots ...... All they have to say to the FA is " we have SKY backing, if you try to impose your Dickensian Rules on us, we can quite easily form a "Breakawy" Premier League Simples ...... Unfortunately, the "minnows" do not possess that sort of clout

A very good point .... WHY would he put us into Admin if it meant him losing his Dosh ???? ........... ....... and THAT is exactly the reason WHY it was left TOO LATE ..... because he did not want to lose his precious money ... ( Incidently, FLEECED from some original Shareholders for peanuts by the way ) ........ ..... He delayed and delayed until it was after the League Cut Off date .... thus ... UNDER WELL KNOWN LEAGUE RULES .... costing us - 10 points Lowe ... The Great Businessman Start realising the truth DPS .........Lowe cost this Club dear ....... and, but for Markus Leibherr .... very nearly cost us our EXISTANCE ........
-
Correct ....... the New Regime were straight with him......... and, for that, hetreated US like dirt For that ...... "What goes around, comes around"

Barclays were aware of the implications of going into Admin AFTER the League cut off date I think you'll find that Barclays advised Lowe of what they were planning to do WITHIN the Leagues cut off date .......... for reasons best known to himself, Lowe "stalled" until it was too late

New signing expected shortly (no idea who I migth add)

He would be CHEAP ....... ... Remember, ( as it has been pointed out to me, MANY times,) Pardew is exploring ALL avenues of "freebies" ..... Looks like REAL money deals are not expected until 2011 at the earliest -
New signing expected shortly (no idea who I migth add)

Seriously CROCKED in one leg .... NOT a good option -
Thanks for that info KB ( of which I was not aware ) If that is the case then, the question to ask appears to be ... Why did not SFC offer him a Contract ???? By NOT doing so, they were, in effect, saying "Thanks, but no thanks" WHY ????
-
I quite agree TTS, it is not the Club that are saying it, it is others on here that say that I too would hope that Alan Pardew will sign a few players within the next few weeks Believe it or not, I too think that we have turned the corner and we should have a good season overall Being greedy though, I also think that if we had already strengthened in a few positions, we WOULD be in with a shout for the play offs IMHO, waiting for the next few weeks to happen, will cost us that

If you think what I say comes under the heading of "conspiracy" then I must be guilty of treason then !!!!!! I asked ""WHY would Jaidi's agent tout him around, knowing that WITHOUT having a work permit, HE CAN'T PLAY That's normal Agent practice is it .... I say it's a load of Bull "" So, you are impying that the agent went all the way through with negotiations etc etc, then casually said, "Oh by the way, my client no longer has a work permit" ......... First agent that I am a ware of that acts on behalf of his client like that Bit like saying " Can I ride in the National ? " ... "Yes " .... "Oh good, I'll just nip out and get a horse then "
-
No, I'm not forgetting that ..... we had a weak side last year, and paid the price ... But the "weak" side of last year has got WEAKER. Quite a few players have left, with few coming in OK, I know it cannot be an instant "fix" ... but what I do think is crazy, is the mindset of "lets review things after 31st August" .........by then, we will be FIVE matches into the season, (a possible 15 points) ........... ... It won't be much use then, if we are stuck on the bottom, still on - 10, will it ??? .... we won't attract many then will we ???
-
I do NOT believe that "everyone is lying" Instead of slagging me off, let me know your take on it then .... WHY would Jaidi's agent tout him around, knowing that WITHOUT having a work permit, HE CAN'T PLAY That's normal Agent practice is it .... I say it's a load of Bull " stedy progress", "consolidation" .... GREAT WORDS ... but you STILL need a COMPETITIVE TEAM for that to happen Others on here have said that we start against Millwall with a Team WEAKER than the one we had last season .... so I am not alone in thinking as I do I'll say it again, IMHO, I do not believe the Jaidi scenario as it has been put across by SFC .... It really does not make any sense
-
Great theory .... deadline 31st August ?? ...... By then, with our Current "weaknessess, we could be miles behind, still stuck on - 10 points WHO WOULD WANT TO COME THEN ????? The damage would have already been done ...... same as last season Pinnacle cost us 5 weeks ....... but Pardew has had adequate time since to "attract" somebody Don't try to tell me that ALL the players so far signed up by other Clubs would NOT have strengthened us .... some would have done Div 1 Clubs with average gates of 6000 - 7000 are "attracting" players With our set up and infrastructure, WE should be able to attract MORE players than we are led to believe at present
-
You are quite right .... and I for one do not believe what we are being told ... Jaidi is a Footballer, released by Birmingham .... SO, does he want to continue to be a Footballer in the UK ??? .... If so, he needs Work Permit HAS HE GOT A CURRENT ONE ????? ..... NO ????? Then why BOTHER to tout himself around ???? NO PERMIT = NO WORK ..... is his Agent MAD ??? I don't believe it Here we are, on the verge of our first match, starting o - 10 points, and we have a Team NO BETTER than the one we started with last season, with "cracks" all too apparent to most I know we were "saved", and I know the infrastructure of the Club is better, BUT .... we NEEDE NEW PLAYERS ..... They cost money We are the only Div 1 Club that has not spent CASH to get a player In Div 1 we are not talking Millions SOMETHING is still wrong somewhere, IMHO:cool:
