We NEARLY went out of Business We ARE in Div 1 We ARE starting on - 10 points We DO (ATM) have a "weak" Squad For ALL of the above, to a potential Manager, we are NOT 100% "attractive" I believe that getting Alan Pardew will prove to be a very shrewd move. I think that a lot of thought has gone into it, and that the likes of WGS gave an opinion of what TYPE of Manager was neede FOR DIVISION 1 I think that AP's appointment is another massive POSITIVE move by Mssrs Leibherr / Cortese:rolleyes:

Dear Snowballs2 ... Hasn't it sunk in yet ???? WE ARE IN DIVISION 1 .... !!!!!!!!!! With that in mind, I think that Alan Curbishly's appointment is an excellent one He KNOWS what it takes at this level It IS an ambitious appointment IMHO ........ the FIRST ambition (aim) :)is to get OUT of Div 1

AP is a very very good solid appointment IMHO ......... ( and would surely have had an offer from a CCC Team in due course ) He is "street wise" at Div 1 level, and will know what it will take to get out of this league I hope that us fans will be realistic in what type of Football to expect, ie, do we want to get out of Div 1 OR do we want to watch pretty pretty stuff and then get kicked to hell in the final third GOOD LUCK to Alan Curbishly, and WELL DONE to Messrs Leibherr and Cortese for getting him:rolleyes:

So what ..... I personally do not want Shearer as Manager ...... he has only had WEEKS as regards experience ....... and his heart is, and always will be, with NUFC Whoever we get ha GOT to have loads of Managerial experience IMHO ..... the season ahead is going to very very difficult

My own real gut feeling in all of this is that ... Leiber/Cotese are Real PROFESSIONAL men ... and are SUCCESSFUL in what they do. Therefore I just cannot believe that they would have got rid of our Manager, if they had not NAILED DOWN the Manager THEY wanted They are too professional an outfit to do that surely ???? In all they have done so far, the key words have been "Swift and Decisive" I have an inkling that they HAVE already seciured the services of the Manager of THEIR choice. .... to be unveiled at THEIR chosing.

I've been saying that After the euphoria of being "saved" by Leibherr, things really have stalled IMHO So Oldknow says " no rush" ... really .... surprise to me Only WEEKS before the start of the Div 1 season Players being SOLD NONE coming IN NO Manager ... ( with repect to Henderson, " Caretakers" DO NOT WORK ) Players need to know a PERMANENT figurehead is in place, for stability if nothing else All we know at the moment is that we are NOT going to get a "Class" Manager like Strachan ... if we were, he would already be installed I still believe that Leibherr has NOT been able to get who HE wanted, and I don't believe all this Oldknow garbage of "No rush" We may have been "saved" as a Club, but even the most neutral of observers would say we are already in for a very torrid baptism into life in Div ! My point was, we HAD a Manager (Wotte) He was sacked We now have NO Manager ... just a "Caretaker" It seems daft to have yet MORE upheavel by ditching Wotte and installing Henderson .......... Why not wait until they have got a new Manager signed up .... because I honestly think they have ****ed things up ........ We are Div 1 .........I doubt if anyone of any substance will want to take us on .... ( _10 and no Squad etc )

If he was coming ... he would have been appointed by now I trust people don't have too hih a hope re who it will be Do not forget, whether we like it or not ... we are in DIVISION ONE ....... on -10 points, with hardly a Team Being saved is one thing, but we will do well to SURVIVE this coming season IMHO
