Gutted about it as I had so much belief for him after last season. However he does not appear to fit this system and has objectively been poor so far, so anything £35m+ would be a brilliant return. Realistically, skint Italian clubs will not be able to trigger that option so he'll likely be back to us next year hopefully in the PL. I think Brooks/Rothwell combined will cover for the limited minutes he was already getting.

Honestly fine by me. Brooks coming in means Arma may get more minutes at striker and I really just don't see it with Mara, although I expected he'd go back to France.

Happy with Brooks. Versatile and very good player by all accounts.

Alcaraz really poor so far but the desperation to hate on a 21 year old South American kid who was probably our only highlight of last season is a bit much. He's very erratic but he also has the individual quality (Plymouth H) which is why the fans stick by him.

I don't remember that to be true. I remember quite a few of us highlighting how terrible a move it looked. He can't pass a ball, has never been able to pass a ball and whoever signed off on that one made a serious error.

Feels like he'd be a non-promotion signing rather than anything else mind. Honestly don't feel like we need anybody in this window, even Benson's constant links don't feel particularly necessary to me although it obviously couldn't harm to have another body in. Fraser has been such a revelation of a signing, alongside Sulemana and Edozie coming back and all we'd end up doing is pushing SAA further down the list which I feel is slightly unjust. Fraser/Sulemana - Che/Mara - Arma/Edozie already feels a bit like an embarrassment of riches to me.

Always a bit sad to lose a prospect but never thought he looked ready for professional football in the limited minutes he got, even through preseason.

That's an excellent save to be fair. The drop off when Stephens comes on is actually causing us problems now. Only when we have a 3 goal cushion from now on please.
