Sudden winners in this by the way are Bree and Stewart who are probably now looking at twice as favourable contract terms, if they even would still stay.

We've still got the base of a decent Championship side, but we'll immediately lose the players who looked like they could play above the level in Peretz, THB, Jander and Scienza who were the real difference makers. Assuming we'll only now be able to replace those with reasonable Championship players given the situation, we do now suddenly seem quite ordinary and reliant on players who were bit-part this year taking a huge step-up (Wood, Bragg, Fellows). Will need to use the loan market extremely well for quite a few gaps this time around I think.

Ah that Scienza post is rough. Imagine we’ll have a few more of those coming. Sad but he deserves to move on, amongst others.

A bit concerned for the first time with tickets going on sale Friday, after they initially suggested they’d be on sale tomorrow. At least we’ll know what’s going on either way after tomorrow.

I think I'd be tempted to start Downes, Charles and Jander. Looked alright when we moved into that yesterday, gives a bit more control of the midfield in a big occasion. It’s embarrassing from the club to have done this given the momentum and confidence we already had, but the fanfare is just as tragic. Boro fans trying to convince themselves this is the worst thing that’s ever happened so they can believe we could get kicked out the play-offs. I wouldn’t give a shit if the roles were reversed. Absolute melts on #SaintsFC talking about how they’re no longer excited because we’ve cheated. Blimey.

Can tell from reactions there that the players are desperate for Fellows to get a goal. Started well.
