It looks to me that they are going to find themselves dropping out of League 2.

You reckon ? IMO he will bang in a fair few goals for the Canaries !

Who is to blame for the Summer of inactivity?
Dalek2003 replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
So why do the 'clappers' build up false hopes. When we are in the top league our ambition is one place above relegation, anything else is a bonus. What is wrong with that ? -
We fannied around after unrealistic targets and let Norwich sign Hooper under our noses and at a very goof price.

Ok, but you implied that I would be proved wrong. -

Last year we knew about clear weaknesses in the team but failed to strengthen in the right areas, once again we have followed the same strategy. I warned people that this would happen back in May, and you included Alpine, had a go at me. Well.... -

Thank goodness we don't live in a baies coloured world full of H&S people, all agreeing with each other as they go about their business in a comatose robotic way. -
Yes. We should send a telegram at once to tell them that they are no longer of any significance and in the interests of reasonable sporting competition their 'rivalry status' has been terminated in favour of a much bigger club.

We always leave things to the last minute and we traditionally have a poor start to the season. I hardly bothered to post in the first 6 weeks after the end of the season as I knew this would be the case. -

The second quote was ironic. -

Yet again, I was lambasted in May for my predictions of the usual underwhelming summer transfer season. Now I see people are all singing the chorus to the tune I was singing on my own. -
The same as last year. People believed in the post season propaganda machine. No, our number 1 objective is the same as last year. Stay in the Premier league whilst keeping within our means. Nothing wrong with that, because if we do go down we can yoyo back up.

November will be the month of the DALEKS !!!!!!!

I am not down about it. I think we are a 'yoyo' team and would be happy to see us bounce back from the championship. -
OK my official prediction for saints. 18th and relegated.

But didn't I say this would be the case back in May ? -

Don't know who is to blame, but I predicted that we would do little and so far I have been proven right. I also predicted way back that this season would see us in a relegation scrap. I stand by my assertion. -
Will this current squad propel us into Europe?
Dalek2003 replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
It is better, but I think our form at the end of the season showed that we had weaknesses, especially up front. Also, do you imagine that other teams like Norwich have stood still over the summer ? The fact is, we have strengthened, but have we done enough ? To me it feels like we always do this, we wait and see and then have to try and sort it out in January. Well, if that is the case i can see us in relegation scrap that we might or might not survive. -

I have done on previous posts. -

I think we are more likely to have a fight on to secure our premier status than any dreams of qualifying for Europe. -
The thing is they are so deluded there is little chance of them facing any sort of reality. Anyway, lets look forward to another season of them being the laughing stock of the football world !
-
I am sure we can recommend a goalkeeper for them, didn't we have an up and coming one last year that went to a League 2 club ?
-
Next week: 1. We don't sign a striker. 2. we get all depresessed about the forthcoming season and feel bad about ourselves. 3. We all go back to moaning abput the lack of creative midfielders in our squada and lack of centre backs of good quality, plus our chronic lack of a world class striker. Typical football fans really! Let's hope we bring in that striker at least - I can actually see Lambert playing behind a striker...

Well, I can understand why. They are being crucified why them down the road are up to the same old tricks. It would be better for football if they became extinct.
