Better than being 3rd !

Call that a prediction......breaks the trades description act !

Things you will miss - things you are not looking forward to...

Yes, both the NPC and League 1 has 'real' fans and stadiums with real character. Matt LeTissier has got a great article in the Sunday Times today in which he makes the point that there are thousands of dedicated fans outside the premiership who are dedicated to their teams. Always respect the fans of the likes of Posh, Colchester, Oldham etc. -
The next few months are for strengthening the squad. I will make make prediction when I see the outcome of this, about August time. Unlike last year we need to be more decisive in the transfer market, instead of dilly dallying. Hopefully the planning has already started !
-
I normally wait until August for my predictions. Depends on the squad we have assembled.

Did Norwich sack Paul Lambert when they got promoted to the Premiership ? Did Paul Lambert fail this year ? I expect Adkins was expressing his opinions that the Premiership was going to be a new fresh challenge and who knows what will happen. I would imagine he deserves a good rest away from it all and he can then return re-energised. He did this at the end of last season if you remember.

My arse !

Important to stick to your guns !
-
Do you think people might notice if I were jump on the 'as i predicted' bandwagon that is going on in other threads ?
-
Well, it might well happen. Seems they are really in it deep !
-
No, I really did think we would finish about 17th at the start of the season. How wrong was i ?
-
They say that Daleks have no emotions.....not this Dalek.
-
Even I would not advocate signing Glenn as our centre forward !

Says a lot about the man. He has earned the plaudits today. Adkins has built this team and it is Adkins who has created the wonderful team spirit for all to see. He has worked with NC and he has got us inot the Premier league. I hope he has a well deserved break away from it all and enjoy the feeling of success. He richly deserves it !

Nice comments from the Royals, seems that they wanted us up rather than Wham.
-
Surely not, well past his best.
-
It has. Which despite all their bluster is the true representation of how much it hurts for their 'mighty' team to be pushed aside from 'their God given right' to auto promortin by the likes of SFC and RFC. Oh the sweet revenge of this day. Taste it, treasure it and saviour for the years of your life. All you that are young, there are not many days like this. But, this is what supporting a real team is all about ! It is days like this that burn in our souls during the dark stormy days ! We are Southampton, the Saints ! WE ARE MARCHING ON !
-
The fact they locked the thread only proves they are saying such things to console their now shredded dreams ! They were so arrogant at the start of the season that they deserve to fail and I hope it teaches them a lesson !
-
Agree, I would like Blackpool to go up, but wont mind as long as not Wham.
-
Note this.... Adkins is a legend ! He has achieved more for this club than Hoddle and long may he continue ! I admit, I never thought he would do it but he has proven me wrong. The Daleks salute you sir !!!
-
Norwich v Saints. Local game for me and we have had some cracking games in the past !
-
So, as well as the possible spectacle of Wham failing and then imploding we have the added bonus of standing at the sidelines and watching the possible extinction of them down the road. Sha la la la !

Its like the end of an epic. The normal rules of nature on the South Coast have been restored. Southampton in the elite league rightly restored as the shining light on the South Coast. Brighton are in their place, the dowdy bridesmaids and Bournemouth the earnest but talentless guest. Then there is the low life slinking around outside in the shadows of the garbage waste, eeking a living and muttering to itself in a deluded and incoherant manner ! Throw them a scrappy bone if you must. The south coast is once again in a state of harmony.

LOL. Like to see Blackpool go up myself !
