Agreed, or rewarded Koeman enough that he stayed at the club. If there was a 'will' we could have found a way of rewarding Koeman, without blowing the salary structure. The obvious way would have been huge bonus for European qualification, league places, Cups etc. The more likely scenario is the Club wants to do things on the cheap and that includes the job of the manager.

The Club must surely have known what they were getting when they appointed him. There was no rush and the Club themselves said that he was their preference after very careful consideration. It wasn't like the mess up when Sturrock was appointed at the last moment after a few vocal fans forced the Board to back down over Hoddle
