I think you will find that Ramirez was instrumental in some of our key wins, including Villa and Newcastle as well as being the best player on the pitch in home draws against Arsenal and Everton. So to 8 points right there helping to make the difference between us and Wigan. In any case, I don't see why this is relevant. You don't attribute the success of the last 4 seasons to NC, he's been average at best. So why are you placing so much emphasis on the fact tha Ramirez hasn't had as much of a consistent season as we would have liked on the doorstep of cortese?

Ramirez has started regularly, interupted by injury, travel and a personal issue. So really you are just talking about Mayuka and Forren who was signed for next season anyway.

Exactly, it's not as if they can just all walk out anyway.

Most important signing of the summer IMO and one which will gaurentee a 6th placed finished alone.

My take is that NC has been informed of some organisational changes which the trust want to implement which he feels would undermine where he was planning on taking the club next season and beyond. I think he is using the press, MP and players to reinforce his position at the club. Obviously a big gamble and they could call his bluff but it would be a big call by the Liebherrs if they felt that it would lead to the team management leaving as well as some key players. Ultimately, this could jeapordise the premier league position of the club and subsequent value.

Seems more and more like a big offensive on behalf of NC. I'm not so sure the club would be keen to release stuff from MP and MS if there is a strong possibility of them leaving. NC just seizing an opportunity to highlight his importance to the club amist others clamouring for position now that we are a bigger asset.

Probably not which is why the timing and content of what was said is purely political IMO.

Exactly, not a single person thinks that Saints FC won't exist if Cortese leaves. Just probably won't be as good as we have been in the last 4 seasons in some peoples opinion, inlcuding mine. That is all.

Just saying that if a journo wants to hear from them, it can't be too hard as the Liebherrs are seemingly willing to reply to anyone who asks and have told people in the past that they don't like NC.

They should just ask buctootim, emailed them to say how disgusted he was with Adkins sacking and got a reply from them straight away telling him that they agree. Also, Hypo's ex player contact walks right up to a Liebherr at a function and asks them if they like Cortese and they tell him they don't. Not sure why these Journos are having a hard time tracking them down, they seem like open and honest people according to people on here.

I guess we can argue all day long, there is no way I can be convinced that Morgan will go for 10-12M. If he does leave, it will be for more than that IMO. Whoever is in charge (and the likelyhood is that it will still be NC), they would be a mug to let him leave for that. Morgan himself recently signed a contract for us. He and his agent are not stupid, they would have known that there will be big interest in the summer given his performances this season but that hasn't stopped him committing his future to us.

Add Tim taking it further to suggest that NC trying to orchastrate a management walk out to drive the price of the club down so he can buy it at less than market value. People have very vivid imaginations it seems.

He set a precedent with AOX when in L1. If we got 15M for a 17 year old who had never played above L1 before, why would we accept less for Morgan who has proven himself in the prem, just signed a contract and is a more accomplished player in his position?

I see thick Tim is continuing to have a mare
