Why do you say that he feels he's undroppable? Are you suggesting that his slightly below par performance yesterday was down to him not bothering to try as hard? Whatever you say about him, he's one of our most committed players and runs his socks off. He has a very difficult job in having to be our creative outlet plus having to provide defensive cover against top quality wingers.

Again, knee jerk comments based on one performance. If Lallana has been so poor this season, how has he got an England call up, top assists to date and has been involved in a lot of our good play this season? Yes he didn't have his best game yesterday but do we really need a player inquest after each below average performance?

As I said, maybe Lambert was carrying a slight knock or his training stats from the previous week weren't good enough for him to finish the game. Plus at 1-0 up, Adkins thought we needed to press Fulham harder than we were and they were playing from the back. Jrod is much more effective at doing this than Lambert and is a goal scorer although maybe slightly low on confidence at the moment.

So no one would complain had he taken off Lallana, Puncheon and Lambert then?

No player should be immune to be subbed if they are having a poor game. It's a dangerous thing to do and I can't think of any other player in the prem who wouldn't be replaced if they were not having a good game and fading fast. Maybe Lambert was carrying a slight knock or his fitness in training was not good enough to warrent playing the whole game. ' Advocating that Lambert stays on the pitch no matter what is a much poorer philosophy.

It's not as black and white as that is it. You have to factor in the quality of the opposition, the subs the other teams have made, injuries and the condition of the players and the flow of play prior to the subs being made. Most manager make changes in every game. Lots of goals are scored after subs have been made, typically from 70 mins onwards. It's very simplistic to blame goals conceded on the subs alone.

No. But I'm sure if you look at the number of goals in general which are conceded in the last 20 mins in the prem, it would be significant. I can tell you though that we have SCORED 7 goals after subs have been made.

Or his half time change against Villa where taking Fox off and putting Clyne out left changed the game for us.

If you're so sure we will go down with Adkins, why did you say no to sacking him in the other thread? And I believe that he does know his best 11. Clearly unable to put them out today. He does seem a little pre-occupied in trying to make us fit around the opposition though rather than just letting sides worry about our strengths.

Nice to see so many no's. Adkins is not perfect but he's been brilliant for us and has a good chance of keeping us up if we can get to January with our heads just above water. He has one too many Championship players to work with and talk all you want about tatics......it's been individual errors which have cost us so far this season.

I guess Adkins was willing to risk him if we were chasing the game but as we were 1-0 at the time, looked to shore us up instead. The subs looked to have come 15 mins too soon if anything.

Yes, i dont disagree too much with any of that but still think they were containing him inside quite well second half as he was just going over looking for free kicks too much. I personally think he was poor and tiring second half so wasn't surprised to see him go off. As some on here have seen saying that Mayuka is still carrying a knock, I guess Adkins thought we could contain rather than risk him. If anything it would have been good for him to play through the middle and replace Rodriguez as Yoshida clearly needed help in front of him.
