Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales

Do any of those even have the attributes which Lambert provides which is so important to how we play? Like height, strength, hold up play, aerial ability etc etc. Lets face it, Sharp as a lone striker in the prem would be woeful. -

What would we do without Lambert for 10 games if that situation occured? -

Wrong. Buttner was never a Cortese signing hence why he didn't sanction the move. Cortese wanted to bring in some Bolivian kid he had seen whilst on a scouting mission out there during his mysterious "holiday" but the Lymington hotel didn't have the right type of ice tea for his agent so the deal collapsed. Adkins didn't have any say in any signings and doesn't even pick the team. His job is to just stay tanned and smile into the camera, only ever responding to questions with verbatims supplied to him by Les Reed. -

Good point, clearly the loan is to pay the bumper wages to Cortese's boyz. -

You've borrowed money from a credit provider against your future earnings? My alarm bells are ringing for you Turkish. Bankruptcy must be just around the corner surely? -

Our previous way of doing business was abnormal. This isn't. -

It isn't quite how leeds went bust. They borrowed against expected Champions League money. We may have borrowed against known and guarenteed revenue....big difference. You can cite pompey, rangers or whoever you like but fact is, plenty if clubs borrow money against future revenue without going bust. Not every business which takes a loan ends up owning 10's of millions to the inland revenue. -

Without expecting our owners to pump significant sums of cash into the club whenever a cash flow is needed, this behaviour is perfectly normal in football. The value and the terms of the loan is unknown so there really is not much to speculate about at the moment. -

It all depends on how much we have actually borrowed. It may be to the same value as 1 or 2 player assets. -

Why is it so concerning? It's common practise among a number of premier league clubs. We have no divine right to be 100% debt free and reliant upon Markus' coffers. -
Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"
Dig Dig replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I've not questioned the info on Clyne or Phillips. It just becomes tiresome reading about how this awful tyrant runs our club, scouts our transfer targets and picks the team. Turkish has been just as guilty as anyone else on here recently in peddling this stuff out. Some very predictable responses as well regarding the latest developments of the training ground. I do believe that Cortese is likely to be a difficult person to deal with if you're on the wrong side of him but equally, there have been plenty of quotes around from people who have dealt with him who have said that he seemed perfectly reasonable. These are largely ignored however. As usual, there are two sides to every story. -

That's the thing though, you don't pass on anything really, it's pointless. I'll just keep sitting and waiting until all this terrible stuff does come out in the open then. Been waiting for over 3 years now.... -

Yes,we've all heard how nasty he is. Unfortunately, no one seems able to actual provide any specific detail other than the classic "I heard from a mate who used to work for the club"... At least we've got the likes of Turkish keeping his ears to the ground with his "sources" keeping us all in the loop. Did you know that as well as stopping the construction if the training complex, he also made Adkins pick Rodriguez on Saturday? -
How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed?

Yoshida would probably be the best choice if we had to. -

No offence but Butterfield as a DM at this level......that's krackers!! I'd rather we played all our strikers instead of going down that road. -

The thing, the only suggestion I've seen as to what Adkins could have done different is to start Chaplow. IMO, it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference. Chaplow is a poor player to have in the middle and the pace of the premier league would have showed up his poor touch and passing even more. The only thing which could have made a difference was to have Puncheon, Cork and Morgan available for selection. -
I don't think he's being passively accepting by refusing to listen to the rantings of a mad man.
