Well most desperately wanted this (from memory, maybe you personally weren't fussed) but it is what it is, there will be more of these types of results but also some good ones mixed in. It will be the usual 8-9 home games which will define our season, just like always. I'm sure there will be a few positive surprises along the way as well though
-
What about the inquiry though? DPS would like one and who are we to deny him of that if it's in the best interest of the public?
-
I remember the good old days back in the prem when we took batterings from the top sides all the time but just got on with it. Now we need a mass bed wetting session and an inquest into what went wrong and who is to blame. This place will be horrible this week with all our resident football club management experts telling us how right they were about everything during the summer
-
Guly, Fox, Fonte, Hooiveld, Adkins, Cortese
-
Btw DPS, who do you propose conducts this "inquiry"? I propose you should team up with Alpine Saint and report your findings back to this forum in 3 months time with initial findings. You guys have been ahead of the curve all summer
-
Because nobody knows except a special few who believe they know better and love the look of their own text so will spend all season saying the same thing over and over and over when all that's left to do now is to get behind the team. Some just love revealing in the blame culture. This witch hunt will continue after each and every poor result.

Don't disrespect Turkish. He does krav maga and could bust your spleen open with nothing but a copy of the free ads

Just a touch of irony that's all. I'm sure all the scary booing will teach OX a right lesson today anyway. In other news, I predict a narrow 2-1 defeat but with another good display to keep confidence high

Dmeba Dmeba

Don't look at everything through saints tinted specs. Of course players of Ox's ability will want to play at the highest level and telling others that doesnt really mean much. I think you're being a little too sensitive and biased
-
I think it's fair to say that the pondering as to whether Adkins is good enough has slowly been creeping in on here over the last couple of weeks, mainly by the usual suspects. The mass hysteria over the Utd subs hasn't helped, nor has the backdrop o rumours that NC is waiting on the sidelines sharping his axe.
-
If it lead to the cross for harding to score then yes I think in was Pantsil.
-
Who cares what NC thinks? He's just some swiss bloke
-
Yea replacing players who could barely run anymore and after Utd had started to gain momentum was clearly senseless. I've never seen such an overreaction to some substitutions before. Get over it everyone, some work for you, some don't.
-
A proper ground where you can't see anything?
-
What about those subs against Man Utd though? If Adkins had Chaplow on the bench and used him, we would have won the game 3-1, maybe even 4-1. Our experts have told us this and now alarm bells are ringing about Adkins ability in the prem. This only serves to prove Lard right when we was saying that Adkins had lost the dressing room in league 1 and when he predicted that NA would be out thought by Andy Thorne and Shaun Dyce in the Championship
-
I think tdd wants Adkins OUT!
-
So which players at pompey could do a job for us like you said if only we werent too snobby to look at them?
-
How can we have consistently fallen short in crucial games if we have had back to back promotions? Surely this proves the opposite, that in fact we consistently won crucial games hence gaining enough points over two seasons to get back to the premier league? I wouldn't read too much into the bedwetting about Adkins subs too much and this doesnt vindicate that what you have been spouting off ever since his appointment. You said he was in over head in league 1 and then again in the Championship when he would come up against managerial masterminds like Paul Jewell who would find him out. So dont start claiming now that you were merely pointing out all along that we would only be the wrong choice for the Prem because that would again only serve to make you out to be very serpent like. Anyway, see you in about month on another NA themeed thread. You can copy and paste special what you have originally written on this thread, will save you a bit of time
-
And yet the man everyone is so desperate for us to replace in Fonte would walk into the pompey side. Who is the snob exactly?
-
Alan Curbishley and Billy Davies are both still out of work and would walk to St Marys IMO.
-
2nd guessing is all Saint Charlie is doing as well though but I do share his sentiments. Sacking NA early in the season would be a travesty and is contradictory to everything which the playing side of the club is based on....long term planning and attention to detail. Other than a few dodgey rumours doing the rounds, i've seen nothing to suggest that NA wont be giving time and if he does go, I would lose a huge amount of respect for NC regardless of who would be a replacement.
-
Hello snake, you been in hiding long whilst you wait for another NA thread to come along so you can have another little attack? I'm glad you've shared the above though, Im sure the whole board have been ignorant to your NA quotes over the last 2 years. I did seem to remember your last one being much more to the point and vindictive though

A 40 year old Silvestre would be better than Fonte? Please share with us all the merits which Silvestre now posses which would make him a better player then Fonte?
