  1. Nothing sudden about it. We was favourite to go first before the season started ......add to the fact that he's still seen as an ex physio rookie by many. The press can't help but to mention it every team they speak about Adkins. Of course, the fact that NC has some kind of rep for being a "trigger happy" chairman doesn't help
  2. I cant believe that people feel the need to find perspective after 3 games. Not as if we've been horribly battered so far and more positives to take than negatives on the whole
  3. All throughout the summer you were saying how people will start to bottle it as soon as we lose our first few games. Well here we are and do I detect that TDD is one of the first to start wobbling?
  4. What's up with him?
  5. I don't see why the two are related though. If it's an either or scenario, then fine but but I think if the options to strengthen the defence are there then we will. We obviously had defensive targets in mind which we didn't get for whatever reason. We'll probably re-visit in January like we did with the striker situation last season. Ultimately, if a player like DP wants to join us why should we have a problem with it just beacuse we are considered to be defensively frail?
  6. Not talking about him merely expressing his opinion, I don't give a **** about that. Was asking why he feels the need to go from thread to thread repeating the same opinion over and over and over as if it's more valid and important then anyone else's.
  7. We definitely will be. A season is hardly ever defined by the first 10 games. This time last year I remember the "experts" in the media even mentioning a possible relegation battle for Arsenal!
  8. That's the point though. Le Tiss hasn't played for the club in nearly 13 years so his talent as a player is irrelevant if you're comparing it to that of a CEO. Le Tiss now earns a very good living from Sky TV where he is employed to offer his opinion on clubs, players, chairmen etc etc. If he chooses to use his position to bring a personal dispute with NC into the public eye then that's entirely up him but it doesn't take much to work out that this is only counter productive in the long run.

Wrong Minty. NA has been found out at this level, Fonte deserves to be shot, we've wasted 12M on one player, the CB we have bought isn't up to it, Mayuka is another Ali Dia, NC is picking transfers and dictating subsitutions, why did we sign Rodriguez?, we'll be bottom and out of it come Xmas. I've read this all on here over the last 24 hours, doesn't look like we're in very good shape at all.

I never mock! This is serious business. I'm sure your little extract above is exactly how it went down. Same with Rodriguez and Guly. Actually, I remember reading on here that Guly actually has it written into his contract that he has to play when fit. It's a wonder why the other players don't kick off about this but we keep getting told there is a great team spirit so I guess they are all ok with it as well!

Because he's nothing but a "yes man". He's worked probably harder than most coaches to get into the position he is today considering where he has come from so it makes sense for an intelligent man to take a job under the provision that he'll get told who and when to play people. His stock is so low within the game that he can nothing but accept it. He couldn't possibly walk away and tell the world how the chairman of SFC actually picks the team.
  12. Guly has appeared in every game thus far, starting 2. Chaplow and Hammond are CM's who are not good enough for the prem and neither were even gaurenteed starters at championship level and De Ridder has long been out of favour. Poor examples. It's called squad evolution.
  13. And we have another International CB ready to add competition but apparently he's a huge gamble and risk according to some before they have even seen him kick a ball for us. Fonte isn't as bad a player as people have been making out, there are worst defenders in this league. Needs to focus more and gain a bit of confidence back but his overall game along with Jos hasn't been too bad and teams haven't been steamrollering us at all. They just need a little time to adjust to the pace of the prem and if they do, they are still good defenders even at this level. Our main defensive weakness is Fox at LB, most their chances came from down that side and it doesnt help CB's when they are constantly being put under pressure but our full backs inability to cut out crosses means that they are often put under a lot of unnecessary pressure.

  15. Very selfish of you
  16. Completely agree with this. Whatever happens now after 3 games, the verdicts are in.
  17. So other users should not bother coming on here then just so you can continue to pollute the forum with opinions which you've already laboured to death?
  18. Other than Sharp, who have we "discarded" exactly?
  19. Indeed, that's what I thought when I logged in today and saw you like a rash all over the forum.
  20. He's all over nearly thread on the forum today. Should have been expected. 1 day post defeat after a couple of defensive errors. This is prime Alpine time. I just wonder why he feels that his opinions are more valid and important than others to the extent that he has to repeat the same thing time after time on thread after thread.
  21. It's called cherry picking. Ignore the posts which are difficult to respond to and focus on complaining about how victimised he is for his revolutionary alternative point of view
  22. Gary Cahill was playing for a team with one of the worst defensive records in the league when he moved to Chelsea and that's a fact. Defensive records are really indictative of individuals, more over the team as a unit. As a Unit, we're ok, no one is strolling through us at will. Just some sloppy individual error's are costing us some goals whilst we adjust to the premier league........Nothing more. You want sensible discussion but you've not said anything remotely positive at all over these last couple of weeks so don't expect people to want to jump into sensible discussion with you when all you ever do is come in from one angle. The same applies to your new Internet friend Alpine.
  23. When Aresenal conceded 8 against Utd exactly 1 year ago yesterday, did you say that they clearly can't go on to defend at this level? Or did they work hard as a team to improve defensively with the personnel they already had and end up finishing 3rd?

    Chaplow

Or he might have got nowhere near Scholes like most midfielders in the prem, got caught in possesion, give free kicks away and generally do nothing but invite more pressure from Utd. Just saying.
  25. Exactly....you know the square root of FA but doesn't stop post after post of mindless speculation and insinuation.
