  1. Certainly is, especially as Cody Cropper was released by Saints in May and has since signed for the MK Dons so it makes sense that he would be close to the inner workings of the Toby deal.
  2. Clearly they were wrong. It seems he is having his medical today and I'm sure it will take a normal amount of time.
  3. No, shut up. Everything the club does is perfect.
  4. Really looking forward to seeing to what he will do. Sounds like he will be a class acquisition.
  5. My mistake, 1.2 shlongs which is doable.
  6. He'd cost 2 shlongs by himself.
  7. Well, we've been saying that every year since he broke into the team. He has developed a lot physically in terms of bulk but he still lacks aggression and his general pace and athleticism isn't up to much.
  8. Don't think we'll even need to wait that long......
  9. That's the key difference isn't it?
  10. I think it was Connor Armstrong
  11. Either way, it's not really a reason for suggesting that we are better off grabbing the money and running because Morgan isn't a great goal scoring threat. Top DM's like Matic are never judged on their goal scoring but are often spoken about in terms of how critical thy are to the team. I doubt Man Utd are overly fussed about his shooting ability because it's not what drives his value to the team.
  12. Plus he may be more involved with speaking to the player and clubs reps as he clearly will have a strong relationship there.
  13. If we're talking about Saints and £20M rated players, the external environment has an important factor to play. With new TV revenue and with new benchmarks being set all the time (sterling), we can reasonably assume thay any of our players will attract a £20M + fee if they go to a bigger club, nuances of their contract situation a side. It also means that our abiility to attract lower value, high potential players is impacted but it all becomes relative.
  14. Rodriguez if he can perform to his pre-injury levels as well.
  15. Wasn't long ago that people where saying the same about Morgan et al. If we paid over £10M for Mane and he has another good season, how much to you expect the club to sell him for?
  16. Those Englishmen still exist and have a better chance of having a longer England career elsewhere.
  17. Exciting signing. Only concern would be van hanegem's comments about his fitness and stamina. He apparently struggles from around 60 mins onwards. Sounds like he will need time to adapt to the intensity of the PL.
  18. Cheers for doing that. Love how you got your secretary to transcribe it, slow day in the Redslo office?
  19. What was out succession plan for Toby a side from bidding for a player who was already signing for someone else? What's the strategy behind Cuco Martins? I think this place gets a bit carried away sometimes. We balls up on transfers as much as anyone and we continually need to be replace more than others so I'm not sure I buy into the cult of the black box.
  20. Cheers, I think he said something similar earlier in the year. Doubt there would be serious interest from the the top 4 and I doubt he would go back to Sporting right now so nothing to worry about in reality. A shame that he feels the need to say it though, it doesn't do him or us any favours.
  21. Really? Anyone got a link to the full interview?
  22. I think Koeman mentioned that he is good at playing in behind the striker so sounds like that's his plan for him which is good as no one has really made that position their own in the last season. Pelle up top with Juanmi behind and Mane and Rodriguez wide is a pretty good (and quick) forward line up. Need to sort out what's going on behind them though.
