  1. Fantastic season. Chelsea had no right to win this today, but the god were looking down on them....and their grit and drive to win that was immense. Gomez totally froze tonight. After this truly crazy season, how about England to win the euros?!?!?
  2. I'd imagine it's Barnard who'd move on... We'd then have Sharp, Lee, Lambert and Hooper. I don't think Adkins has ever seen Guly as an 'out and out' forward.
  3. Indeed, that would be overpaying..... I'd imagine if it is true, it's ''up to 14m'' and it's based on all sorts of random clauses.
  4. rumour on twitter than the bid is £14m, but that post has since vanished. Prob tosh.
  5. ok now that tweet has vanished....
  6. Agent_ITK ‏@Agent_ITK Southampton bid for Hooper is in the region of £14m. #Football #celtic
  7. That was very much a case of a lesson in ruthlessness. Blackpool played the better stuff, got into the better positions and had the clearer openings - but they only mustered one goal. No arguments really. WHU will be strong next year that's for sure, don't expect them to be involved in bottom 4/5 battle.
  8. What did you expect? Bart was out of contract, Forecast wasn't. We need a new GK, so Bart goes and we sign another keeper. Job done and don't get hysterical about it.
  9. He's scored more goals than Lallana this year, and his primary role isn't goal scoring. He does well to get into those positions with his skill and pace.
  10. One WHU got to grips with it, that was that and probably will be that. They'll turn this into a non-event of a 2nd half with their tactics, that's for sure.

    Sky tv

Yep, on both versions on SS1. Shows the full 90 of every single match on the red button, really good idea. I think the first season it came into action was the year we were relegated, so we've never really benefited.!

    Sky tv

We have to be on 10 times, but that quota will be split between Sky and ESPN, which is an additional sub.
  13. And isn't that depressing.
  14. Stoke are a team who have been treading water for the last 18 months, that's very dangerous as teams that do that eventually get sucked in....Thats what I predict will happen to Stoke this year. Norwich could struggle if they lose their manager and striker, as those 2 guys are the key reason in why they're where they are. Take those 2 out and they will struggle big style. Wigan will again struggle, even more so if they lose Martinez. It's a much weaker league than it was when we were last in it, I'm pretty confident of that. I don't expect big things next year but a nice comfortable end of the season being in mid-table would be terrific.
  15. oh ok, fair enough. Not sure where i got my figure from them! probably confused it with another player..
  16. We've just got rid of Connolly and Holmes....let's not replace them with more injury prone players... He got a chance at City this year, but barley played because........he's been injured for 6 months! The guy came very close to retiring and I think it's probably best if he does.
  17. The list is as expected to be honest... Really pleased for the young lads making the step up, all 4 of those are class acts. We all know about Ward-Prowse, who IMO has the ability to be premiership class, but Jack Stephens cost us half a millionish from Plymouth...and he'd played a few games for them already and impressed! Luke Shaw and Chambers are the 2 that really excite though, very pacey players who like to take players on....Shaw is very much in the mould of a certain bale, hence why big, big clubs are tracking him.
  18. When we signed him under Pards, you felt it would be a masterstroke if stayed fit. Unfortunately he never ever stayed fit, but the times he was available he made a difference and scored some massive goals. A very fine finisher, but his injuries make it impossible to keep him on.
  19. Peinner, Jarivs, Adam Johnson, Jay Rodriguez.....wow, if this is the calbire of players we're looking at then that's exciting. I just hope it's not all talk again, and we actually sign them!
  20. On the correct contract it's a no brainer, but the worst thing you can do with a player liek Owen is get all excited and offer him mega-bucks on a 2/3 year deal. a pay as you play 1 year contract....then see how he gets on. We won't break our wage structure so he'd need to take a serious drop. I just don't know if he's lost his hunger or not... Growing up he was my favourite player, absoloutley loved him when i was at school. Was a hero to look up to after 98.
  21. Wouldn't have made any difference if he was playing for another team though, there are players ahead of him such as Crouch, Sturridge etc. To be fair, he'd never have been considered if it wasn't for Norwich - so it's a bit **** what he's done. Wonder if this will rock the boat at Norwich?
  22. I doubt either have enquired recently, it's all down to the fact that he's a scouser and people put 2 and 2 together and make 10401240250250. I'm shocked at Grant Holt though, I can only assume that he's been tapped up by a 'decent' sized club - but he's gone about it the wrong way.
  23. Jeez not again, I did a clean up the last time they announced one of these ''days''. Now i've got to tidy up all over again ffs? Might put my out of office on just to be safe.
  24. Ah, happens to all the teams that go down. I'm sure some of us said the same. but yep, they're in for an awful shock as they'll struggle at the start.
