We're not signing squad players though. We're after players that will push the current team and raise everyone's game.

I think we've got such a strong squad now, which include players who are as good as the players in the first 11 - So it will change around quite a bit. We've got a bit of everything. Pace and trickery down the flanks, solidity in the middle, quality at full back....and 5 terrific forwards. We're in a great place and I'm delighted that we've taken this window seriously and have made a massive effort to make the most of our position. I'd hate to be Nigel in picking an 11. Anyone out of the 16 could start as they're all good enough. What a terrific headache.

TBF he's not in stokes plans, so there may be a chance.

For a weekend game we'd have been too late, yes, but for a mid-week game we have until tomorrow lunchtime - so we wouldn't be fielding an ineligible player!

He must be wanting some mental wages.

Apparently we were, then moved onto Collins, which has also fallen through.

From what I understand for midweek matches, signings need to be confirmed by Mid-day on the day of the game. For weekend fixtures it has to be 12pm on the Friday - because Saturday is a non-working day. He will be available for tomorrow.

No idea - wasn't me who mentioned the club photographer, just repeating what another poster said in another thread.

According to the club photographer (apparently) another signing is on the way. NA Also mentioned ''watch this space'' and ''1 or 2'' in his interview today. Well that's one down...

Chaplow, Lallana and Fonte clearly in full training as shown in the video preview for tomorrows game. Now it's just a case of how ready they are for match action.

Just watched the video preview for tomorrow, and Chaplow, Fonte and Lallana are training with the full squad and show no issues.

A long time coming, but he will be worth the wait. Guaranteed goals, and along with Lambert, that's pretty frightening for the opposition.

Will be interesting to see if he's OK to play tomorrow...

I'm basing my opinion on him on cold hard facts. I.e almost a goal every other game, less than £2m, proven with our manager, exactly the type of CF we've been crying out for. I'm not sure why people wouldn't have the opinion that this isn't a great signing.
