  1. The leaks are coming from the players agent and the selling club f'sure. Either that's in an attempt to bump up his current wages, or an attempt by Celtic to start a bidding war. When we get higher up and start bidding for higher profile players it's inevitable that there will be leaks.
  2. All over their forums. A few of their own ITK and some club insider twitter feed reporting it.
  3. Latest news on WHU is that they're pushing for Jay Rod and Sordell. Those are the 2 they want. Looks like our targets are high though, let's hope our offers are fair!
  4. Worryingly, Beckford seems to have found his shooting boots.
  5. Celtic fans - word of note, never, ever get in an argument with MLT.
  6. I don't see many clubs coming in for Rickie to be honest, they won't pay the fee we'd want for him at his age and lack of top flight experience. We've got him at the right time and I just feel he's the sort of player that will retire here.
  7. lol - he's a right character, completely mental but brings a bit of something extra to the English game. Hope he stays, seems a pretty generous guy too all being said.
  8. Yeah, Cardiff's squad in particular is very very thin compared to recent seasons - but this may just be the reason they seem a bit more ''together''. Boro are currently missing Bailey and Robson from the heart of their midfield, and their backup is a youth team player and someone who has only played 1 game in the last 18 months. That's why they've stuttered in the last 2 games for sure, and the bonus for us is that Bailey is out for 8 weeks. I've seen pundits and oppo fans say we'll fade as we've got a small squad etc, but really it's not much smaller than most. We probably lack a little up top, but at the back, in the middle and at full back we're better stocked than most IMO. (and with quality too, not just average backup)
  9. Never frown at having another goal scorer in the building. They're priceless.
  10. Yep - and our own Aaron Martin! Lots of quality out there and it seems like we do cast our net far and wide, even as wide as Japan! We've probably got a huge list of 100's of scouted players that could do a job for us.
  11. To be honest it's the sort of signing that may get us by until the summer, when the players we really want are more accessible (or our pool has widened due to our league). Could a master stroke, and it's nice to be able to look at the bench and have another skillfull pacey attacking player there. Unpredictable too as no one in this league will know about him really, so it'll be a nice surprise for most. It looks like he has insane technical ability, but youtube videos obviously mean nothing in terms of how they play at this level! Will be intersting to see how he does and he's the sort of player that will get bums on seats IMO. Exciting short-term boost.
  12. Never heard of him if I'm honest, but there are plenty of good young players in non-league. Kightley for example is a class act, and was picked up from non-league. You can get some real gems with the right scouting, which we obviously have in place now.
  13. I've seen him in a couple of games, via highlights and also live on TV in one of them...and he reminded me of Charlie Austin. Looks to have that ''knack'' of being in the right place at the right time and has excellent movement too. I reckon he could score bags of goals with the service at this level too. Looks like a proper natrual goal scorer who would score at whatever level you put him at, provided the service is good.
  14. I've always like James Richardson, although I think he's better on the Italian football coverage. It was a pretty crap show tonight if I'm honest. Do they now cover more clubs...? Seems like way too many to slot into 30mins. I remember the days it was just Us, the skates and Bournemouth covered. Now they do Bristol, Yeovil, Plymouth, Brighton......not a real local feel anymore.
  15. They signed too many at once, Sven was so stupid there. I think they looked better at the back with Jack Hobbs, but they sold him for £1m and brought in Mills for a fee up to £6m. Who got the better deal there! Beckford just hasn't happened for them either, he looks awful and sulky....and is one of the reasons I'm quite pleased we missed out on him, if we were ever serious. Their transfer approach in the summer was slap dash, no real idea of a team, just lots of good players in the hope they'll blend well - well they haven't, and they're totally broken. Pearson is probably going to need to break it up to sort them out. After the team he put together there he must be fuming at the mess he's come back to...
  16. I'm quite pleased to read a couple of comments from people who have actually seen him play. ''He'll be in our top 3 players from no onwards'' ''Think of another Lallana with a bit of pace''
  17. My word, just reading up on the Leicester forums about how they feel prior to this....and quite a few want Pearson out. Are they serious?!?!!? Didn't he just join them for frigging sake? They deserve all they get if that's how fickle and knee-jerk driven they are. ''Pearson's clueless'' ''Time is running out for him'' ''He looks out of his depth'' are just a few of the gems.
  18. True - we probably do have a huge list of targets. Fran is an odd one though, this is a guy who couldn't get in the team of L1 brighton, yet is currently on the list for Rangers as a potential addition.....if that tells you anything...
  19. I quite liked it during our JPT run, showed some decent behind the scenes stuff. Was it on last season at all? Totally forgotten. It's nice to have a bit of focus on us though for 30mins or whatever, rather than a quick 5 second moment.
  20. According to Spurs fans he has impressed in their Europa League games this year, and many of them are really excited by him.
  21. If I'm honest with you, this guy sounds like the nuts. Really talented, can play left, right, in behind the striker. Pacey by the sounds of it and incredibly talented with the ball....annoying that it's a loan, as I'm sure Spurs will have him back in their team next year. I remember the signing of Danny Guthrie producing a pretty underwhelmed response by most, but he turned out to be exceptional for us.
  22. How is he a spurs reject? Assume that's a tongue in cheek comment.
  23. Why? Looks like a great signing reading up on it.
  24. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2579341,00.html An attacking midfielder, possibly the winger we've been after!
  25. Looks like it's the spanish guy from Spurs on a short-term loan.
