Interesting talk on the Skate forums (I feel dirty now) that we're one of the clubs seriously interested in Pearce. Someone even says he was at Stalpewood earlier. Can't believe that though.

He's one for next season as they want a loan back, whatever the fee.

Are Fleetwood town loaded or something? Otherwise how on earth can a club of their size resist £1m bids for anyone?

Fair play to Boro chairman for sticking to his guns and keeping hold of Williams - they turned down a £6m bid for him!

Crawley are already minted though, and reinvested every penny of the tubbs deal straight away into Frank Nouble from West Ham.

I don't see our club doing that at all. Conners has been more regular this year than I ever thought he would be, and Barnard was given a new 3 year deal in the summer - but has been out injured unfortunately. Don't think the club are casting them off at all.

Good post, although I still think Connolly can play a part for us this year. After that he'll move on I'm sure.

Sky Sports are really milking it today. In general terms today is as dead as most of the transfer window has been, yet they're making such a big deal out of the likes of Saha to Spurs and Jelavic to Everton is their leading story! Says it all about this window really! TBH we're probably looked upon from the outside as having an excellent transfer window, and I'd have to agree. Better and more active than most.

No real rush tbh. Would be sensible to hang onto him until we've got the likes of Punch, De Ridder and Lallana back up to full fitness. He can then go out in the loan window, similar to what will happen to a few of our players IMO.

Celtic must be ****ed off with us.

People said right back was a problem in the summer. In fact people said Lambert wouldn't do it at this level. How many people would have expected Russell Martin to be performing very well for Norwich in the premier league? Exactly. With the right coaching he is a very very capable player, as we've seen this year. Probably what I'd call our ''unglamorous'' player of the year so far.

Doubtful, 6 premiership games being played.

Stoke journos now reporting that Collins has turned us down again. Move on...! That'll be us now - maybe a CB on a short-term loan in a few weeks. But a very satisfying window to say the least!

Ignore him. He's behind the times. He said ''Collins set to sign for Southampton'' after everyone else was saying it had fallen through. So no surprise that he's now reporting he's snubbed us, after others are reporting we're back in for him.
