  1. It was also wrong for Benali to come out and air all his unprofessional views, live on Soccer AM. Both parties have made mistakes, there isn't a single person the blame can be pointed at in this debate. I wish they could all knock their heads together, but they won't.
  2. That is an absolutely top post, the best I have read on here in a long, long time. It should be made a sticky.
  3. The thing with Sky over Virgin for the internet, is Sky is ADSL - using a BT Line, so the speeds are not set in stone, they're based on the quality of the phone line to your property and the distance from the exchange, so you might end up only getting a max of 5mb for example. It might say up to 20mb, but you may not get near that. I ditched virgin a while ago, which (occasionally) gave me 20mb speeds and I'm now on ADSL, but at 8mb speeds, not much more I can get in my area.
  4. But we can't and won't win every week, in the context of the season so far and how the game went today, it's a good, well earned point. I'm not too disheartened by it at all. We'll drop more points as the season goes on, but today has shown we've got the right attitude when we go behind.
  5. A very short sighted view to have this early in the season. If this was the case in March, maybe I'd agree with you. Don't get carried away.
  6. Good point that, dug in, didn't play as well as we have done this season, but still didn't lose the match.
  7. Just sticking up for MLT and LM, saying that after all they gave they should be given tickets for life.
  8. Anyone at home for me.
  9. TBF I don't think we're too far away from teams like Wigan, Newcastle, Bolton, Blackburn etc - and I reckon we'd stand a pretty good chance of beating any of those at home.
  10. Unfortunately there seems to be a % that enjoy the struggles more than the positive forward thinking club we have now. Bizzare, but that's how it looks to me.
  11. He really isn't. If you believe that then you are a bit of a fool. Has it ever occurred to you that there are 2 sides to every story? It's quite obvious that the likes of LM were looking for freebies and special access, and why should they be given any? If the current chairmain pays for his ticket then so should anyone else. The whole episode between Cortese and MLT/LM etc is the part of both parties, not just Cortese. Did you see Soccer AM on sky when Benali decides to air his linen live on air? A tad unprofessional.
  12. Of course I want promotion, the last thing I'd want is for us to stagnate in this league (like coventry). I'm sure their fans are loving it in this league. Let's have some ambition in the fanbase!
  13. They are the ones that need to worry about their finances. Parachute payments, yet still can't keep hold of Fox or sign Cork.... I remember a similar post from a Palace fan. ''They're screwed, they're closing down the academy!!!'' bla bla...
  14. Interesting that he had no answer to that. Think that says it all. He's a good player, yep, but to be honest I prefer the types of striker we're looking at as long-term premiership quality players - and our squad at the mo is good enough.
  15. Best goal scored: Lallana's v Leeds Best Champagne Moment: Lallana making Carr and Elliott look like idiots Best game so far: Ipswich away Best Player at this stage: Lallana Most Improved player: Richardson
  16. He's been great for us ever since he signed, IMO. Exactly the sort of CM we've needed for years. Pleased to see what we're doing with all these contract re-negotiations. Fonte next....and I think that's all our key men tied down long term.
  17. Lallana will single handily rip them a new one now. He's too good.
  18. TBF he sounded like he was putting the ball into decent areas, but there was only Forte up top....
  19. lol lallana scores straight away.
  20. Or looking to score a goal! Seem to remember on a few occasions he went up top as a striker. Didn't really play enough for us to make any real judgement on him tbh.
  21. Went passed there a few weeks ago, no building works or construction going on at all. They do have the temporary huts in place though, but the old buildings and pitches are still in place untouched.
  22. What a moron. You can't be a real football fan with comments like that.
  23. Yep, makes you wonder how someone could ever be bored enough to start a thread like this. Reminds me of the ''Gary monk has signed, on solent!!!'' thread.
  24. So post the link then if you think it's genuine, otherwise it's easy to assume you're talking ****e.
  25. Yep, it's great to see no one getting too carried away at the moment. It's important to keep the perspective in that we're still newley promoted to this league and we won't have it all our way every week, but let's just enjoy each game at a time and see what happens. Much more fun that way rather than getting stressed over individual results.
