And that says it all.

That was a tough start to the season for sure, but there was much more to be positive about going forward. We had some cracking players for that level, only a matter of time once we got a competent manager.
-
I want to believe that, I really do, in fact it's been the only thing keeping me going. But results like tonight make me fear for our future, as it feels as if the entire club has just lost it's way and you don't turn that around in a summer. Could be a long road back, if we get back ever, it pains me to say.

The whole period since Gao's takeover has been utter misery really.
-
We sold Crouch. We sold Phillips. Camara went back to Wolves, he was a loan. Omerod went to Leeds I think. We started the Champ with Fuller and Jones as our options from memory (and Theo)

Paralysed by fear, scared to take any sort of risk. Happy to pass responsibility off to someone else to take that risk, but they then also don't want to take that risk. Bunch of losers. Not sure how you fix that apart from gutting the entire squad of 30 and starting again.

Haven't you got a Dorset team to turn out for?
-
Nah, don't quite buy that. When we last went down we had a bit of a rabble. Fuller was our striker, Oakley was coming back from fitness and we were unsure. Claus just had a terrible PL season, then we had the rest of them either leaving or quitting from their loans. Squad wise in sense of value, assets to sell and age we are in a much better place this time. The question is do we trust whoever to reinvest what we get. I think we're right to be sceptical at this stage.

He's just reading from the ''things to say after a defeat'' playbook, which we've actually got put up in the changing rooms. We know it word for word now.
-
Hideously bad. On the periphery, knocked off the ball easily, poor touch, not quick.
-
What did he say?
-
Invested and provided finance, cannot deny that. They've tried to change things. Sadly everything they have touched has turned into dust, their decision making has just been the stuff of nightmares. You sometimes get the odd thing wrong, but every single thing they have touched has gone to shit. I dread to think what they'll change next, it's like they're jinxed.

He was basing that on his Rangers alegances, he'd have watched him a lot last year. But this just shows the gap between the SPL and probably the PL/Championship. You even see guys drop down into the Championship and struggle, Skacel for one, Hooper etc. Awful league, maybe a rough diamond once every now and then but it really shouldn't be trusted.
-
It's a tough list, can we have more than 3? My top 3 - Lyanco, Aribo, Adam Armstrong. But easily Elyounoussi, Moussa, Perraud, Diallo - just a load of utter shit stinking this place out.
-
We actually managed to sign a worse version of Shane Long, didn't think that was possible but you can trust us to do it.
-
Doubt we'll ever see him again, should get £10-15m for him though.
-
If you think Lavia is the problem then you're a troll.
-
I think the players should donate any appearances fees from tonight to a local charity, it's the least they can do. Not to ignore Grimsby in this though as I want to be gracious about it. They gave it everything, so much effort and passion, played like a team and got the luck their efforts deserved. It didn't take much to defend against us, but they deserve their night and I hope they get a good draw in the next round that gets them a few quid.
-
Another player who has stunk this place out for a couple of years now. He is at the point of no return now, he will never make it here and he needs to go for everyone's sake. I never want to see him again.
-
There is nothing positive about him, he's a walking lunatic who shouldn't be playing football.
-
Or a bunch of absolutely useless players with shit attitudes, who are totally thick and unable to think for themselves? Do they need everything spoon-fed, are they unable to see what is happening in front of them on the football pitch, or do they need grownups to keep pointing the way? There's so much managers can do, these players have dropped their lot now for a year or more.
-
I don't think I've ever disliked a Saints player as much as I dislike Lyanco. Aribo comes close though it has to be said. Should be a good laugh with them stinking the place out in the Championship.
-
At what point do you guys start looking at the fucking players? 3 managers, different coaches, same absolute shit. Sack them all.
-
A hideous, hideous, hideous team of hideous individuals. New players come in and get taken over by the hideous rotten core which is prevailing so deep in this club right now. As much as I want to be positive about the Championship, it feels like we are on a one way trip to back to back relegations given the rot that is deep, deep in the club. Reminds me of Sunderland.
-
Yeah it worries me a bit as well, Elyonoussi I think/hope will go as he's out of contract. Moussa we gave a new deal to, for some bizarre reason. That decision will forever confuse me. We might get some random European clubs interested, I'd take them up on whatever they offer us - Ditto Diallo. I don't think any of those guys would cut it in the Champ either, they struggle with the physicality of the PL and the Championship is even more physical. Diallo for example would be eaten alive, need to put him out of his misery. I see this as an opportunity to start again with the spine of the team which in my eyes is rotten. 9-0's, losing runs, 30 home wins out of 170 or whatever it is. Just rotten and we need a radical refresh, not tweaks. Maybe relegation will afford us that opportunity, too much faith has been afforded to players who have continuously failed us - we have to be ruthless this summer.
