He's a super talent. I can't see it, Fabrizio is just trying to drum up more followers.
-
Maybe we're going to be playing 6 at the back to make up the lack of attackers. But I can't take anything seriously that Fabrizio guy says. He was in the know a couple of times and has blown up because he provides 'stories' to all his followers. Feels like he's become a celebrity for no real reason.

Who is this Rob on twitter out of interest? He seems like a bit of a tool, yet is seemingly getting airtime on Radio Solent to cover 'transfers'. I wonder if I can get some airtime on a channel discussing something I don't actually have any knowledge in. He seems to be following the Alex Crook route.

Player of the season for PSV, and Dutch Writers player of the season last year. And that was in the same league as £85m Antony. He's clearly a very good player, will probably look at him as one that got away but I never got myself too invested in this transfer as it really did feel like media and agent games in the last 24hrs.

Buy Back clauses have happened quite a bit over the years but never seem to be activated, a few which spring to mind most recently: Douglas Luiz from Man City to Villa. City put in a buy-back clause in that one, but obviously have never got round to activating it. Sergio Regulion had a smallish buy-back fee put into his transfer from Real Madrid to Spurs. I think it was in the remit of £25m. never activated. Kelechi Inanacho - City stuck a buy-back of £40m in that deal, never been triggered either. Marc Guehi has a buy-back in his contract with Palace. The thing with buy back clauses is that clubs can't plan for them coming back, they have to move on without them - so even if Lavia turns into a superstar for example, if Man City don't need to fill their CM slot then they will probably not exercise it. Ditto at Chelsea, if they feel they're stocked at RB and Tino is a bit of a superstar with us, then they wouldn't really pursue it. I know people say these are glorified loan deals, but they're not really. These are our players, the selling clubs have an option to take them back if they want, but given the fast paced world of football and the PL they will likely baulk out their squads with more established players before these lads are even ready for that level.

The ongoing Caleta-Carr transfer chronicle - Signs 4 Year Contract

The most tenuous 'Player spotted in airport' picture I've ever seen in my life. -
Maybe we're pushing him out of the door after he told the media that Ralph has lost the dressing room? 😉
-
Yeah absolutely, we've done really well in CB. Equally in midfield with Lavia and AMN added to the group. Just a little bit worried about the attack.
-
Villa in the mix as well for both Dawson and Bednarek (apparently). But I fully expect it to pan out with Bednarek at WHU, Dawson at Wolves and Caleta-Car to us.
-
You've miss understood that one. It's nothing about funds. We won't need another CB if Bednarek stays. If Bednarek goes, we need a new CB hence this guy.
-
Nah, I think this has been done for a while. The media have just stirred it up for the last 24 hrs to create some extra drama.
-
Ah fair enough, yeah he's quite clearly a squad player at Arsenal but I don't think that should cloud your opinion of him. He's decent and a much better footballer than winks in my opinion. He needs a run of games for sure, I think he'll get that here as he can play as part of a 3 midfield, 2, or even full back.
-
Sounds like Caleta-Car is done. Marseille journos reporting it now. I guess this was a saga, feels like we've been linked with him for many windows.
-
One of ANM, Samuel Edozie or that young full back from City I imagine. They all had medicals y/day.
-
Really? I think he's a totally different type of player to Winks. Winks isn't particularly quick, athletic and doesn't cover the ground that well. Quite clumbsy on the ball. AMN is very athletic, big in suture, quick, can get around the midfield and can provide extra depth at full back as well, runs with the ball well. I think it's a great addition personally and a real upgrade on our midfield options (and squad options as a while)
-
And anther note on this....another 3 namer. Shall we have a search around for attackers who have 3 names? Maybe this is actually our philosophy. A team of KWP, JWP, AMN, ABK, DCC
-
He came in quite highly rated, but was never massively rated by the Wolves fans. They saw him as a bit of a clogger, bit of a sideways, backwards, safe player. Nothing particularly special.
-
It's awful isn't it? I never use twitter really, but just having an extra browse today it paints a very bad light on society really. It's quite simply a cesspit.
-
He's got form for this, as his fingers were all over Man Utd's proposed move for Timber. Never known an international manager get involved in players domestic situations before.
-
I always thought it would be daft for clubs to pick Bednarek over Caleta-Car if he was available, so I won't be surprised.
-
Totally agree with that, I thought Diallo's best game for us was in that formation against Brentford at home. He played more advanced and was pressing all over the place. Can't deny that he's technically gifted, but he gets a bit over run if he's in CM in a flat 2.
-
A mate for Salisu. Can't say I've ever heard of this guy though. He's 28, so at least 10 years too old for us.
-
I was more emotional after reading Adam Lallana's goodbye message in the daily echo, but that was a different type of emotion.
-
Yeah, I agree. We cover more ground and recover quicker, sadly this is probably a reason why Romeu has gone - he couldn't really do that too effectively and we were caught out in the middle. Diallo is a strange one, but one thing you can say about him is that he's quick around the ground and he can hustle. AMN is another athletic type who can cover the ground, more of a forward thinking CM I think but he will add more energy to our midfield and physicality. AMN is such a shrewd move.
