  1. lol?
  2. Just watch the Holland team in the world cup, their formation is based upon what Koeman did at Feyernord. Pretty epic it has to be said.
  3. Were they the eyes he gave the ref, after he squirted his boots with the foam? His reaction to that was hilarious!
  4. It does look a mighty impressive facility, it has to be said. The tech geek in me wants to see the touch screen in a little more detail....! Good analysis tool.
  5. Why? My brother is a year younger than Shaw, and him and his friends knew all about Koeman and the clubs he was at. Shaw is surrounded by football people, so what makes you think he wouldn't know who he was?
  6. Is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of Kruger anywhere to be seen right now? The guy doing the PR and the press is Les - maybe KL has seen the reaction that RK has had, and has decided to pull him back from the public eye.... Even on the tour of Staplewood, it was just Les. It was Les signing the contract with the manager as well as Gareth Rogers, Les giving the interview and run down on the appointment.....and Les giving an interview a week or so ago prior to this appointment. Maybe everyone else saw what an awful PR job Kruger was doing?
  7. Trust in Les is what I say. Criticise Kruger, fair enough, he's come across as a bit of a wolly - but Les knows what he's doing. He's been a part of our rise as much as anyone else.
  8. Why not throw Shaw in? All the talk about experience, but this is Baines first ever WC - and a good player that he is, he's never quite convinced me at international level. so he's not exactly got experience either. We saw it with Italy and Darmian - had a fantastic debut. So throw Shaw in, one of the hottest young properties in the world. Stick Lallana in front of him and he'd have the cover.
  9. attack, attack, attack.
  10. He took Perez with him (Assistant), Miguel D’Agostino (first team coach) and Jimminez (GK Coach).
  11. Easily the first appointment that's been received well by all that I can remember in a long time. Last one was possibly Pardew? (But even at the time, not everyone was happy with that). Adkins was a total let down for a lot of people at the time he was appointed, and MP was just hated from the word go because of how he came in! This guy was wanted from the start...and we got him.
  12. This has been in the pipeline for weeks, he's always been the outstanding candidate of those legitimately linked. You don't often get the opportunity to appoint someone of such calibre and ilk as your manager - was way too good an opportunity for the club to pass up, so I'm glad they made it happen. It's also pretty impressive that we have another manager as assistant - Erwin's record isn't too shabby either as a manager, he's even been an international manager in the past. All being all, it looks and feels like an international and high class managerial team - in terms of stature within the game, it's a step up. It's the level of appointment we needed to make to help turn the heads of Adam, Lovren and co - this may make them just think for a second. There will be question marks over his ability to adapt abroad, as he's only been a big success as a manager in his home country - but this club provides him with the perfect set of tools to make a name for himself I feel. He has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world, and played for them. His winning % has only dropped bellow 50% at Valencia - I'd say that's pretty epic. Now let's get cracking on preparing for the season - he's got a good 6-8 weeks now.
  13. He doesn't look amazing, just a bog-standard average player in the Dutch league. Seems to play as a CM primarily as well, not entirely sure we need one of those.
  14. http://www.fr12.nl/nieuws/26512-immers-eerste-aankoop-koeman-en-southampton.html
  15. Randomly, a Swansea director has said we're signing him - possibly from under their noses.
  16. Lex Immers. [video=youtube;Oj-lAsMxbXg]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oj-lAsMxbXg Just don't let him take the penalties.
  17. Peaked too early, he's now just a mid-table PL player, who just happens to be earning 300k p/w. Go figure. Doubt it's just me, but England just seem to flow much better without him in the side.
  18. He's utter, utter class fwiw.
  19. Quotes from Erwin Koeman's agent: "It is true that there are talks going on (with Southampton)" "The idea is that Ronald is Head Coach and Erwin as his assistant"
  20. Van Dijk is class, albeit it's a poor league - he's stand out up there, too good. Bit like Wanyama
  21. What do you mean tonight, i always talk sense
  22. Anyway, forget this now - done and dusted. so far, this has been the best world cup of my lifetime in terms of games, goals and entertainment. England can do well, or crap - but it's not going to ruin my enjoyment of this epic start to the world cup.
  23. Not sure he's the sort of ''on the shoulder'' type I was referring to, but he's probably the only natural goal scorer we have in our ranks at the mo.
  24. Roy said Rooney did very well on the left, oh dear me.
