  1. To be fair, on this one, I think the club are standing firm. But.....let's be honest, if Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and co start calling, then that's it - it's over. Money will talk, simple as that - and I'm pretty certain that we will eventually get what we feel is reasonable for Adam, Luke and Lovren - all 3 will be off as I've believed from the end of the season. But the game is all about money, and seemingly champions league football. We can't offer that. But the club need to sort out their own strategy in terms of progress to put a cork in all these stories and try to salvage the situation, otherwise they will continue to pop up all over. I honestly feel we missed a trick by not appointing an experienced football chairman - maybe KL will realise that sooner rather than later.
  2. Yeah, Tuchel is pretty much another version of MP, I just hope he's a more decent human being.
  3. Someone who didn't get his own way and didn't want to see success occur without him being there, that's what I'm seeing at the moment. NC did a lot of good for this club, don't get me wrong, but he also has the potential to do a lot of damage. He got too close to the players in an unhealthy kind of way and this is why we're seeing what we're seeing now. He's in the background unsettling the apple cart and at the moment we seemingly have no direction at the club to stop that, which is the frustrating thing. Get ourselves a decent experienced manager on board and re-newed ambitions and we may have ourselves a salvageable situation, but if we continue to wait....then the media and certain 'pals' will continue to take advantage of us.
  4. Upsetting the apple cart and the image of the people who pushed him out. Making themselves look utterly amazing and indispensable in the process. Quite clear to me now as to who is up to their tricks.
  5. Would be an utterly class appt. , but still have a feeling it's Koeman.
  6. Now in the echo who are using 'their sources' to confirm. But I'm still incredibly intrigued as to why this was released today, why not yesterday, or the day before? or at the start of the month? Why has it been kept quiet for 2 weeks? Why today, the day after a 'positive' club statement? It feels like scripted bits and bobs are being fed out when they feel they'd have the most impact. I'm coming to the opinion that someone is manipulating this quite cleverly behind the scenes.
  7. I reckon he's known about this move for at least 6 months and has played the club like a bit of a kipper, used the nativity of RK and co to his benefit. He's looking like a bit of a ****** though, it has to be said.
  8. Also, just to throw this one out there, this is all starting to feel a little scripted. A positive interview by the club, statements etc - followed the next day by players leaving and handing in transfer requests. Same happened after RK spoke, and after Les Reed spoke the first time. You'd think someone was behind the scenes stirring, wouldn't you.
  9. I believe there is interest in Lovren, but I don't believe he's handed in a transfer request. These comments, direct quotes from Lovren, came at the end of may also: "I also heard something about that," he told Sportske Novosti when asked about Liverpool. "I follow the media and I saw that Liverpool is allegedly interested in me. But that is all that I know so far. "I feel great at Southampton and my contract is valid for the next three years. "So the only thing I can say right now is that the club is the one who decides."
  10. If it's that bad, Italy are easily do-able. They keep the ball and pass it around, on a pitch like that they will be unable to. It's going to benefit us more.....
  11. Koeman, Frank De Boer are the 2 that stick out who hit that criteria.
  12. As a stability choice, then yeah - but from hearing Les, I feel the club want to continue the attacking aspect - Moyes isn't going to bring a free-flowing side to St Mary's. Dogged, robust, hard to beat, but ultimately quite dull. Not sure that is the 'Southampton way' Les' was referring to.
  13. TBF, he's not a bad manager really. Unfairly sacked by Spurs IMO, made a very good crack of a mess of a squad. But he's a skate, so yeah, I'd file him under crank.
  14. It was a good interview, and I think it proves why as fans we need to trust Reed - he's seemingly the only one who knows the football side! RK has tried these sort of interviews and they've fallen pretty flat quite quickly, but this was quite an interesting insight in the process of everything really - honest and not misleading what so ever in my eyes. I think we'll get Koeman if I'm honest, that's been the feeling in my water for the last 2 weeks. It's all slightly coincidental that the talk is of early next week, and he's back from holiday on Sunday. If it's as Reed says - all paper work to sort out - then as long as Koeman was happy with what was on offer, then his agent and lawyers can sort it - and he can go on a little break whilst it's all done. But I liked the interview, quite revealing and positive - and from someone I feel I can trust.
  15. Seeing as he's now being touted around for the WBA job, I doubt very much if he's in the running any more - but strongly believe he was one of the applicants.
  16. I personally feel he's been involved in enough of the good stuff to be awarded some trust right now.....let's see what he can do. I'll be honest and say I'm not entirely keen on the make up of the rest of the board, but I don't feel Les' deserves a lot of the grief he's currently getting.
  17. Funnily enough, I think the exact opposite. I feel we're approaching the end game.
  18. I think that midfield would get eaten up by Pirlo, if I'm honest. Would go with Henderson and Gerrard just to have some solidity in there, may be a bit boring, but keep Pirlo quiet and you're onto something. Would start Sterling personally though.
  19. This was a real shock when I heard this. He was one of the classics. Bottom was epic.
  20. Or he knows that the summer will be truly full on here, so he's getting his holiday out of the way now so he can come here and crack on immediately.
  21. This will be very interesting....I'm one of the (few by the looks of it) people who thinks Les' is kind of the only person with any footballing know-how on board...Easy to point fingers at him when it's all gone bad, but he's been here through the entire journey...so has done plenty of good. Thanks for the heads up.
  22. Or we could just support our own team? there's a thought.
  23. If they run at and attack Johnson, they're in. He is simply horrific, nothing other than a bottom half PL player at best - but probably NPC quality right now. I'd have Lloyd James over him!
  24. Lukaku is understood to be a target for several Premier League clubs, as well as Primera Liga champions Atletico Madrid and Italian giants Juventus. Could be interesting re: the Juve interest, what with the background Osvaldo mumblings.
