Looks to me as if one of the main, soul targets is to get this club generating money - as they're right, it has potential, and the commercial side hasn't really been taken on. It does suggest and end to any sort of bankrolling though, more a case of living within our means.

He's not good enough though Minty, he's rubbish. It's not like it's his first game and we need to give him chances etc, he's been here a almost 2 years and has let in crap goals in every game! Not good enough and he needs to go to the level he's capable of being at, I feel sorry for him.
-
It didn't look good to be honest, may be one of those that looks worse than it was..hopefully. But if it is as bad as it looked, he's easily looking at 10-12 months out in my opinion, have seen those innocuous knee collapses in the past. Need to start scouting for a replacement for him in the summer too!

He's not even NPC quality.

Pretty ridiculous really, we've played very well and it just makes a mockery of the whole possession game. and also proves pretty emphatically that we cannot continue to have Gazzaniga as a backup in any shape or form. He's had nothing to do, yet hasn't made a save and has let the ball in 3 times. He's absolutely pathetic and I've had enough of him. He's not even a championship goal keeper.

Real Madrid's left hand side, made by Southampton. How mental does that sound.
-
Oh well. At least the game means nothing to us in the context. Who knows, he may pull of a blinder. But I doubt it.

Paul Mitchell is our 'Head of Recruitment'. Although he's not exactly like a DoF for us, so no idea what that article is on about.
-
Not bad, but WTF @ leeds? ''yep..keep the ball, i'm not going to get close to you or try to win it back.''
-
Don't think he's done anything of note in a pretty poor league this year. Not quite sure he's really up to it.
-
He's completely perfect for our formation and the tactics we deploy. He's mr dependable for sure, but he's got so much quality and technical class. Some of the stuff he can do with the football can rival lallana.

Pochettino likens Lallana to Iniesta, Xavi or Fabregas

Even when we were in L1, he was by far one of the most technical English players in the country. If we want to try and play like Spain, then he needs to start and become the focal point of the side - just as he is with us. -
He's pretty god damn average unfortunately. He'll be back here in the summer like a bad smell.
-
Don't rise to it and stop quoting him. All he wants are reactions and you're giving him them. Ignore him and he will go away.

Quite incredible how Mousa Sissoko gets in the French squad ahead of Morgan.
-
Lloris Clyne - Lovren - Vertonghen - Baines Lallana - Barkley - Morgan - Erikson Lukaku - Rodriguez Subs - Howard, Shaw, Mirallas, Wanyama, Lambert, Davis/Cork, Jagielka

I'm of the belief that we have near on no chance of doing anything at this world cup, so why waste the world cup with has-beens and players who won't be around for the next one? Use it as an opportunity to hand the likes of Adam, Jay, Barkley, Shaw, Chamberlain tournament experience. It's utterly pointless taking the likes of Cole, Lampard, Barry etc. It's a chance to blood some youth in one of the most anticipated world cups in decades, let's hope they see it the same way.

Maybe he was carrying an injury all along? Sometimes I think it's that straight forward with Lambo.
-
Him, along with Steve Davis IMO.

That is truly ridiculous dominance. If I was a newcastle fan, I'd want a refund after that!

That was a truly excellent showing, but you do have to say that Newcastle were abject. I thought Norwich were by far the worst side to come to SMS a few weeks back, but Newcastle just topped that and then some. But enough of them, and more about us. We put them to the sword from the first minute and after 15 mins some people were thinking it was one of those days, but I just knew we would score - a side cannot start as well as we did and lose the momentum, and it was true - the chances kept coming and we kept the momentum up all game long. Jay Rodriquez would have had a hat-trick on another day, but their stand in GK had the game of his life against him - and he still had 2! Was a good game in general for the England contingent, who all played pivotal roles in the performance. Lambert moved them all over the place and the pace of Jay left them stranded time and time again. Lallana just took the **** most of the afternoon. A very pleasing day and we are now above them and hopefully to stay - it would be fair reflection on the league, as in my opinion - we are the ''best of the rest'', which is an excellent achievement seeing as this is only our 2nd season back.
-
Not quite sure of the relevance of that!

Anyone else see us losing as a positive thing sometimes...

Lallana would and should go for excess of £20m -

A club will have been scouting Morgan, Shaw, Lallana and co for years. So they're not going to look at a couple of performances at the back end of the season to make their minds up. The fact is that the clubs probably know who they want, it's just a case of if they're willing to pay what we want - can't see us stubbornly turning down £25-30m for players. We're not big enough to be able to do that. -
I hope he gets the move, it would be a good deal at his age. Would go with my best wishes, it's not really his fault that he's too limited for this level. He did a job when we needed him to.
