I think he meant if he goes to the world cup, which at this moment time is a bit of a pipe dream for him. Would expect Immobile to go in front of him.

Absolutely fantastic post!

What a truly unbelievable job Pulis has done, seriously. They were dead in December, yet somehow he's got them mid-table. Incredible achievement.

You've got to say that his frustration at not being in the france squad is probably coming to roost, and it's probably because he's playing for an unfashionable club. As soon as he plays for a big club, I bet he's snapped up by the national side - and that's got to be playing on his mind. We'll have to wait and see, but it's going to be a bumpy summer. I think generally next season will be one of a downward turn, similar to Swansea this year, but I don't think we'll go down. Who knows what the long-term future holds though, hope we're not going to turn into another villa.

Slightly OTT to say the least, I'd expect a post like this straight after a game, but 24 hours on? Seriously. We were not out played, no idea what game you watched. It also wasn't a worst performance of the season. Check out Sunderland in the cup if you want to see that. Calm down, we lost a game, but we're not a bad side. We'll probably win next week and edge over the line to what has been an utterly stunning season for us. Be grateful for what we have, it might not always be like this is what I say.
-
It'll be Rogers if he wins the league, if he doesn't and Everton sneak 4th...it'll be Martinez. If neither of those things happen, it's probably likely to go to a Steve Bruce/Tony Pulis type. Still lots to be decided, it's actually been quite an exciting season with lots of excellently performing sides.

He's trash. We've got Gallagher in that young/tall striker mode, we certainly don't need to block his progress with rubbish like Wickham. We need to be careful with adding players for the sake of adding them in the summer, it's only worth doing if they're better and different to what we have. i.e sign a CB who is better than Fonte, a GK who is better than Boruc, a ST who is better than Lambert etc.....and the starters from this year evolve into the backup. That's the way it should be done, I don't want to see us buying loads of ''backup'' players, that's for sure, as that's a sure fire way to create a squad of trash.
-
Blimey, that's the biggest load of baloney I've ever read.
-
Puncheon isn't really having a brilliant season though. Up until the last few weeks the majority of Palace fans wanted shot, he's picked it up in the last 4-5 weeks for sure, but to say he's had a brilliant season is a bit silly.
-
Rickie has to start as he's our only option. Gallagher isn't ready. The squad isn't good enough and we're not able to replace Jay Rodriguez, in fact we're not able to replace any first 11 attacking player if they get an injury. Pretty pants really.
-
I think the only reason people are suggesting young Gallagher is because he's our only option, I personally don't think he's ready for this level yet. Not seen anything from him to suggest he is, yet. The issue is that we don't have a squad.
-
Ray Lewington was there. Neither did themselves any favours today, although Lallana is most definitely assured a place anyway.
-
Any of the Norwich players.
-
Would be a realistic and good option for our GK position.
-
Probably the last we'll see of him.
-
Not sure about Poch? we're about to finish in our highest position in a decade and are on course for our highest points haul in a long time. What exactly is there not to be sure about? Lose him at our peril. Our problem is the lack of depth in the squad, it is just horrific. 1 injury to a first 11 player and we are pants. We have a terrific first 11, but beyond that it's still NPC quality and that has to change sharpish if we want to progress. Another manager isn't going to be able to get any more out of NPC level back up players.

A complete and utter mess of a 2nd half performance.

Ralph Krueger signs up for Saints Foundation bike ride to Villa Park
S-Clarke replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
He's doing all the right PR stuff and making all the noises, that's for sure. But didn't NC do some sort of foundation trek to Africa during his time? And let's not forget, the saints foundation was actually his baby... -

Osvaldo an unused sub in last 3 games, in Europe where they did use him a fair bit at the start...he's now not even playing. Game over for him there I would say, and probably game over for him in terms of the world cup squad and ever playing for a big club again. What a waste.
-
Good to see Gaston training though, hope he starts on Saturday and grabs this chance with both hands. Will probably be his last chance to stake a real claim.

Got ****ed off with all the WUM's I imagine.

I remember when he was first linked to us, he played in a very similar way to Kaka when he was in Italy - was actually labelled the Uruguayan Kaka by many sources. It's clear he has immense natural talent, but he's not really cut out for the hustle and bustle of this league from what I've seen of him. The Italian league is OK...but very slow paced, you can take time and care on the ball. Gaston still wants to do that here, but you can't - that's why he's often harried/pushed off the ball, or rushed to give it away. It was clearly an ambitious signing and exciting signing for us, but he's not worked out as we would have hoped. I hope he can grasp Jay's position and prove himself, but if I'm honest I think it's time for us to get the cash we can and let him move on - find someone maybe a little less glamorous, but more suited to this league and more importantly - our hard working/pressing style of play. I wouldn't say he's been a disastrous signing for us or anything at that sort of level, for disastrous...look at Osvaldo, now that's a signing that will cost us for a long time to come!

A general lol @ saggy chops and QPR too, what an utter mess he's made of that job! It's not his fault though, f'sure.

When I was just a little boy I asked my mother what should I be? Should I be Pompey, should I be Saints...Here's what she said to me. Wash your mouth out son, Go get your father's gun and shoot the Pompey scum and support the Saints.
