Not the sort of update I was hoping for. We're gone, aren't we?
-
Totally. We seem quick enough to sort the outgoings, but the incomings don't seem any nearer. Haggling with Feyenord over a few mill for Pelle doesn't give me much confidence for the rest of the window, to be honest.
-
So how many of you are really washing your hands of saints?

Pretty pointless these days isn't it? When transfer fees are now regularly £70m+, it's quite a pointless existence for provincial clubs like us. -
We sold them all to Liverpool for £25m
-
Clearly won't be £12m. If it was, every club in Europe would have bids on the table.

To be fair, Jay has fully recovered from his knee injury and was on course to return within 6-8 weeks - well ahead of schedule. He's been working building his strength and muscle around his knee. The knee injury it's self has gone.....so it's not like they're signing a crocked player, they're signing a player who isn't fully fit as yet. I just hope we haven't agreed to let him go at a knock down price for this. Should be £20m and no less. I will miss Jay, regulars on here will know how much I wanted that signing to happen back in the day. Utter class act of a player who stepped up a level last year.

To be fair, RK is in a bit of a non-fail position. If it goes tits up here and we do go down, the finger will be pointed at the sales and the situation he was put under. If he succeeds and does well, he will be seen as a miracle worker and Liverpool will probably sign him as their Reserve Manager or something.

Jan is way too upbeat for me, a bit cringeworthy.
-
Any news on anyone coming in will be greatly received. Although I'm sure the Fonte/Cork to leave story will be breaking first.
-
Just shows how seemingly desperate we are to sell players.
-
tbf, I think he's had enough of the board and the setup now.
-
They probably need some help counting the money and putting it into containers for it to be shipped to Switzerland.

The BBC Sport homepage is something out of a horror story. I've never felt this deflated.
-
To be honest, the players that are still here are only here because no one else wants them, or is willing to pay a decent fee for them. That's the sad truth. If Sharp was any good, he'd have been gone as well.
-
If we don't bring in signings of the level of De Vrij, Rojo, Forster, Classie - then we're gone.
-
Ending a positive thread on the note of Billy Sharp still being here and being given a chance has made me even more fed up.
-
£20m with a couple of players thrown in, but neither player will be of a level that should interest us.
-
To be fair to that one, I don't think any club has seen enough of him to put a bid in as yet (to the level they want). Give him another year and he'll be gone though. If there was a serious bid this summer, he wouldn't be there IMO.
-
The thing is, if we cannot convince 7 first team players that their future is here, how the bloody hell are we going to get any decent signings over the line? Near on impossible, so expect loans and random south americans for knock down fees.
-
And not just some random loans and risky South Americans either. We need signings at the level of Classie, Rojo, Forster to even start to redeem some of the fans support.
-
Soon it'll be ''Little we can do if PL clubs come knocking'' and then followed by.....''Little we can do if NPC clubs come knocking''..... Unfortunately it seems as if we've started a very accelerated drop.
-
It's players of his teams and the dutch team he was part of.
-
Would be good to see any rumour of substance right now, anything. Just something. Please. (and if we're going down the loan route after recouping £150m, then I've had it)
