  1. Throw in a bit of pace to the mix and we'd be amazing to watch.
  2. There must have been a load of stinking games today!

    Shocking ref. really.
  4. The fact you're the only person posting this shows you're out on your own. Sorry. Wanyama is immense, anyone and everyone in football can appreciate that. We've been the better side in both games, bar a 30min spell in the 2nd half of the WBA game We've been on top possession wise in both games, and although we're not creating enough clear cut chances at the moment, we're a better side on the ball than we were last year.
  5. Seems to be made of glass to honest!
  6. I think that's just him, that's what you get with him. I don't think he's ever really going to make a solid connection with us, I think he'll score goals and win us games....but he'll have his strops and will probably forget to appreciate the fans in some games. That's the character he is, and in a way is why he wound the Roma fans up.
  7. You clearly watched the Fulham game then. He was the best player on the pitch. He wore the number 16 shirt.
  8. If we are serious about the cup, let's play a decent side. As Swansea and Bradford have shown in recent years, if you're positive and confident in the cups you can go far. Sod all this 'weakened' team crap, let's go for it with the strongest side we can put out. Scare the living daylights out of Barnsley.

Enjoyed the fact that he was willing to run at them, we didn't have that until he came on the pitch. I said the same after the WBA game, but he seems to have bulked up a bit -certainly isn't being knocked off the ball as much as he was last year.
  10. Reminds me of Xavi in the way he plays. Uses and protects the ball incredibly well, his set piece delivery is a joy to behold Technically, one of our best players.
  11. It was a game of frustrations really, glad we stuck to it and ground out a draw at least - would have been a travesty to walk away with nothing based on the general domination. I don't agree with the poster who suggested Sunderland were fantastic, they were complete and utter bile. Awful. They will be in serious trouble this year, which makes it even more frustrating that we couldn't beat them. We should have done better with the free headers in both boxes, but unfortunately for us we had a day whereby Lambert and Rodriguez were very, very poor. Nothing happened up top at all really. Osvaldo looks a character, that's for sure, but didn't influence the game a great deal in the 2nd half. A couple of good touches, but was not quite on the same wavelength at times. Overall, one of those real frustrating afternoons. Lots of nice possession and football but not enough clear cut chances created for me (echo's of last year...!). We should ahve scored at least one of those free headers though. JWP was and is outstanding. He has all the ability to be one of the best midfielders in Europe, him and shaw are the next 2 international superstars off of our production line
  12. Unfortunately it's on football rumours, so has no substance what so ever. Would be ideal if it were true though. In a way, we're not in a bad position in terms of bidding for ''young'' FL players. Hammond, Sharp, Fox etc -would all be very attractive to FL teams, so include any of those in a deal would push things on a bit further.

  14. Doesn't seem a massively concrete link to be honest, probably just one of many players we've shown an interest in over pre-season.
  15. He's kind of fallen away in the last year or so, lots of injuries - and band ones at that. Ince has surpassed him in many aspects. Decent signing for QPR, but have the feeling that Phillips is only ever going to be a lower league level player.
  16. Lallana is in the 2nd from last pic. Still find it amazing that I'm looking at our player training pictures, with players of the calibre of Lovren, Rameriz and Osvaldo training in our kit. It's just crazy to think we'd be here just 18 months ago.

  18. tbf that's not really down to the club, more so the 3G capacity in the area during match day. the St Mary's area doesn't really have strong coverage in normal circumstances, which is why it's next to useless in a packed bowl. They could offer a guest WI-FI, but would need a pretty decent backbone to handling 32,000 IP address requests... Don't really see it as a major thing at the moment, we get our HT score updates over the tannoy and I have a good natter with the blokes around me at HT. It's nice to see people talking to each other and not tapping away for once!
  19. It'll be on one of the channels. This is the one service where every single premier league game will be available, every week.
  20. More coming from the left side, was a winger for them really. but did tally up a decent goal return. Danny graham was their main striker that year.
  21. Are you now moaning at the people moaning about the people moaning about the moaners? arrrrgh. brain freeze. Looks a bit crap, but doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
  22. I find it amazing how the comments moaning about people moaning about it, far exceed the comments from people moaning about it. So, who is moaning?
  23. I don't think we ever really wanted him to be honest. As has been alluded to elsewhere, we don't really play with natural wingers. We play a very condensed game through the middle and a lot of our attacks go through the middle. Our width is supplied by the roaming front 3 and the full backs, so natural width isn't really going to be a part of our game. For a new player to come in, they'd need to be a player who could operate all across the front 3 - not just an out and out winger.
  24. Oh dear.
