  1. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger dismisses reported interest in Southampton's Rickie Lambert. "We had a look at him in the Championship, but no interest now," says Wenger, whose side travel to Southampton on Tuesday night.
  2. If we sell to Chelsea eventually, we need to make sure without fail that Lukaku is part of any deal.
  3. The term 'world class' is so overdone, the reality is that he's no where near world class. A decent player, but no more or less than that.
  4. http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2014/01/osvaldo-to-be-left-out-of-italys-world-cup-squad/? His career is close to going down the pan. Didn't realise it was another bust up, which forced him out of the confederations cup squad either. The bloke is an unmanageable nut-case. What a poor, poor transfer.
  5. Pretty boring draw, but incredibly winnable. They are such a crap side, still confused as to how we've not beaten them as we're a gulf ahead. Good chance to get to the quarters.
  6. This is where it's from - http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/southampton-may-be-able-to-get-some-joy-from-osvaldo-saga-by-ge, granted, not very reputable. But it's possible. Well know that Juventus want to shift Vucinic on, and if they want Osvaldo then it's a no brainer I'd have thought. Only doubt I'd have is why would Juve want Osvaldo?
  7. nter Milan have been repeatedly linked with Southampton misfit Pablo Osvaldo, but they can't afford him. Their new owner Erick Thohir has said that Inter are entering a time of austerity and must cut their cloth accordingly, meaning they'd have to sell first before they could buy the forward. Unless Southampton want Fredy Guarin, offered to anyone who'll listen during this window, then Inter Milan looks out of the question for Osvaldo until they manage to sell. Guarin had been set for a swap involving Mirko Vucinic from Juventus. That was almost completed, players had medicals and the deal was about to be announced but then Inter Milan's Curva Nord supporters threatened to riot because they didn't think their club was getting the best side of the deal. The potential transfer was called off and whilst Inter still try to sell Guarin, Juventus are left with an awkward situation surrounding Vucinic. He wanted to leave the club, said goodbye to his team mates and passed a medical, it's hard for him to return. He missed training on Thursday and Friday, with permission, and wasn't involved for Juventus yesterday against Lazio. Sunday's Tuttosport say that Juventus are looking at Osvaldo for a replacement should Vucinic leave but with Southampton themselves having to replace the punch-happy Argentine if they sell him, then there could be another swap on the cards.
  8. Well he should have thought about that before he decided to but someone. Wouldn't give a **** what he's keen on, he's out the door.
  9. Yeah, was injured in the closing stages of the Sunderland game.
  10. And then they score up the other end. Typical lower league cup tie really, lots of huff and puff from Bournemouth but no quality what so ever.
  11. No lambert today.
  12. What also makes a mockery of it all is when they let one of their young players go on free, so they can get David Luiz. Only to then realise 2 years later he was actually quite good, and then spend £20m to get him back. Just lazy really, not interested in developing their own. They want the finished goods, hence why they're not interested in Lukaku either.
  13. They're still trying to create a rivalry then? Quite cute really.
  14. Do we have a logjam of strikers?
  15. Didn't realise Bournemouth had managed to put together such a decent little team. Surman is a great addition for them.
  16. It's been reported by what forest fans understand to be a ''joke tweeter''. Kind of justified in being a joke when the same guy says he ''Understands'' that Billy Davies drew up a list of potential CEO's to ''Sign'' Brilliant.
  17. I would imagine a return to a fans forum style. The last few days have kind of heralded a new way of communication I feel, we'd have been kept in the dark regarding the injuries and the ''bust up'' before, and what with KL saying she wants 'open' communication, then it's pretty clear we'll look to introduce that sort of thing. I'm not bothered either way, but there's no harm in having a fans forum. Interesting to a degree, but can get a bit micky mouse.
  18. Alex Crook.
  19. If we're honest, even if Cortese had stayed with us, we're a 8-10 side at best. We're in a funny situation, our start to the season excited a lot of people but it was pretty evident that we were in a very false position. Where we are now is where we are realistically and we've probably hit a bit of a glass ceeling. If we wanted to ever achieve that far fetched CL dream, then we'd have needed a new takeover as KL would not have funded to that extreme. But I still think there's plenty to look forward to, but you've got to realise that we were always going to have a bit of a downturn. In football...you cannot have 5 years of non-stop success and expect it to carry on, you need to expect a bit of a dip at some point. We're probably having that at the mo and it may well go on for another 12 months or so, but I think the foundations at the club are strong enough to ensure we're OK. People are crying about Cortese leaving, and saying the club will now implode. Surely that doesn't speak a great deal of NC's abilities? Built on sand and all that? He was better than that and we are on a very strong footing.
  20. Utter b****** apparently, will have to wait and see. Source that it's coming from is always wrong according to Forest fans, they're actually laughing at it. He's known as their comedy ''tweeter''.
  21. Seriously man up. So this is a lower point than being relegated to league 1, in administration? This is a lower point than having Ryan Smith and Forecast in our team? This is a lower point than Lowe's second coming? Seriously, man up fella. We're in the top 10 of the premier league with one of the best young english sides around. We lost a CEO and a player who has been crap for us is on his way out, big deal. We're still owned by the same people, which some seem to be ignoring.
  22. Why on earth would we want another DM?
  23. Pablo Osvaldo made the news, not for scoring against Udinese last Friday, but instead for punching his team-mate Erik Lamela in the face after the Giallorossi's 2-0 setback at the Stadio Friuli. The 25-year-old is no stranger to committing such pugilistic acts as he previously floored colleague Nicola Mingazzini in pre-season training when he played for Bologna in 2009. Osvaldo has received the maximum fine allowable by the Lega Calcio and will not travel with the team to Florence for the encounter against the Viola at the weekend. So, this is the third so-called incident of his career. Horrible piece of work.
  24. TV Deal has changed the landscape. A few years ago Swansea spending £13m on someone like Bony would have been seen as bizarre, similarly on Norwich for spending over £25m in one window. Would say that based on the PL money and our general income, that's now our sort of level fee and wage wise.
