  1. I do get the impression that he is being professional enough to stay on until the end of the year. He made a comment going back to last years announcement, in the sense that the situation was different - i.e.. it was in pre-season and not in the middle of anything. He seemed to indicate that it's not right to do such a thing in the middle of a ''process'', or ''season''. So to me, it sounds as if he's going to re-evaluate things in the summer. But he's professional enough to see this through until then. I've got the feeling that this years summer is going to be anything other than boring.
  2. How long before HelpMeRhonda returns? I've still got that mega-dome plan somewhere.
  3. How many contradicting reports are there! She's not here according to some....and now she is here according to others.
  4. There are some interesting bits flying around today, regarding how we were planning to win the league, how the ambition and drive is lost etc. But let's be honest for a second, ambition and drive is great, but that alone will not enable us to win the league. We would need to spend an utter fortune to even compete in a title race, and Cortese wouldn't have been going to his pocket to fund it - he'd have been going to the family. We've probably hit a bit of a stalemate in terms of progress. As a self sustaining club, we're probably top 10 - so in my personal opinion, to get to the next level we were always going to need that next notch up in terms of investment. Maybe this situation will push all of that to a head, I don't believe the family will provide that next level of investment if I'm honest. That could well be the crux of it all...who knows.
  5. He's having a nightmare at the moment. Still trying to fish, but he's now in a pretty big lake what with all the online members at the moment. Bless him, he's getting lost out there.
  6. The only thing we know is that NC has resigned. and as you said, everything else is as normal. Anything else is, at the moment, pure speculation and rumour.
  7. In an ideal world, this would happen, but I just don't think it's feasible. I don't think we'll see Cortese involved here again.
  8. Sky are often there, they just record it and play it out in segments prior to the weekends game. Just as they do with every other club. Taking it live is in the hope something sensational is said, don't be expecting anything though is my view.
  9. It makes it more interesting for the mainstream. A back page headline saying the chairman has left a mid-table club isn't going to make sales. So throw in a bit of a meltdown scenario and include players + manager that general people/football fans would be aware of, and you have a sellable back-page story. Even though it's sensationalist garbage, people buy into it!
  10. An agreement to make it permanent though, and he's done pretty well there.
  11. Just sensationalist stuff in the papers, which certain people are picking up as FACT. As I said yesterday, the only fact is that NC has resigned. Everything else is waffle.
  12. Isn't this just the normal pre-match press-conference, which Sky have decided to pickup live due to recent events? (in the hope of more live revelations) Wouldn't expect to hear a thing apart from what's happening this weekend. Would imagine a great big no comment on anything owner related.
  13. He's clearly trying to fish in quite a big pond at the moment. He's being lost at the bottom.
  14. Totally agree, It's been a hell of a ride. But let's be honest, we're not really in that bad a position. It's not like our owners have left and put us in admin or anything that drastic. The vision may be gone for now, but the club is still here in the top 10 of the PL.
  15. What's the need with the offensive comments exactly?
  16. The chairman has left. The manager and players haven't. So we're not a laughing stock. In fact, no one really cares.
  17. To be honest, a lot of what is being said tonight is being said emotionally and at the heat of the moment. Exactly the same happened when Adkins was sacked. It's easy to just fly off because it's frustrating news. People were saying identical stuff when Adkins was sacked ''We'll now be relegated'' ''We're a laughing stock'' ''The 5 years progress has been wiped out'' ''We have no stability'' etc. At the end of the day, it was the right call and we're now in a better position than we ever where. I think the Liebherr's deserve a bit of time before we all jump off a cliff and assume the worst. Let's just wait and see.
  18. They do want him, that's pretty much confirmed. Will be interesting to see how this has handled now. £7-8m is an enormous fee for someone of his age, but a replacement would need to be purchased before we should even conciser it.
  19. It does make me wonder, why people have so much time on their hands to make up waffle on twitter. Too many unemployed people out there!
  20. Why on earth do they ever bother speaking to supporter groups? Who do they represent exactly? They might as well speak to Jim, Bob and Ian at the pub.
  21. Why are we a laughing stock????
