Quick edit there, haven't been on here all day, so just finding out. I've lost my dollar.
-
This rumour has been floating around for days, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that we will not have any new signings tomorrow. Just a hunch.
-
I think City paid about £26m for him, but they paid it to that Kia Jorascram bloke (+sp). So that they ended up fully owning the player, as he had only ever been on loan at clubs up until then (West Ham/Utd)
-
That's brilliant to be fair. Loved that.
-
Just seen that Tevez is off to Juve for £12m. 12m???? This is the same transfer window in which Carroll cost west Ham 15m. Brilliant. Who says English players aren't overpriced?
-
He's progressed really quickly over the last 18 months, looks very impressive to me these days. Would like to see him gain a loan at a league club, think he's ready for it.
-
Exactly, I don't think a transfer committee is a bad thing at all - as long as it's fair, i.e you don't get the chairman trampling over everyone to sign who he wants anyway. But I think ours is pretty fair and well thought out, all our targets are pretty well researched you'd have to say, and apart from a few duds (De Ridder/Dickson etc) on the whole our last few years have been pretty fruitful transfer wise (the players we've bought in have improved us anyway).
-
To be honest, I'm pretty sure Hooper has been a club-wide target for ages - just as Jay Rodriguez was. Obviously he worked with Adkins etc, but he's a good player, so there's more reason to be after him. And it's pretty obvious that we don't sign players just on the managers decision, so if the manager does leave I can imagine the same targets stay in place - until the club has higher ambitions obviously.
-
It's my understanding that you are correct.
-
lol brilliant. Serves him right really, does he not realise how silly he looks?? Always hours behind anything. I could create a twitter feed and do it an hour earlier than him.
-
O'Neil is still in Winchester, waiting for the call.
-
To be fair, Louis Suarez is in exactly the same boat. There's not really any excuse for failing to perform against Tahiti!
-
That was fantastic HT entertainment.
-
As he does in every, single, game I've ever seen him play. I'm so desperate for him to do well, absolutely dying to see him become a star, but he just doesn't do it for me at all. I keep watching him in the hope he will, but it's always the same. Playing around on the peripheral of the game. Wouldn't really bother me too much if we re-couped in the summer, although I don't think we will - reckon we will persevere.
-
Gaston subbed, no surprise, he's been rubbish.
-
Frustratingly, as has been all too familiar to us, Gaston is flattering to deceive, against such awful opponents.
-
Maybe we're after 2 midfielders? Seems a bit overkill though.
-
If this is Wanyama's actual twitter feed, he's ''carefully'' retweed some fans (and saints fans) talking about the transfer. But he's made no comment. https://twitter.com/VictorWanyama

From a Scottish journo/reporter: I believe a deal between the clubs and player is now very close. Others want Wanyama but Saints are in pole position. Top player. We've kind of done this in previous years, got in their first for ''sought after'' players, others then try to bid...but we're just too far down the line. Think this will be finished shortly. (Jack Cork being a recent example, Jay Rodriguez being another...)

JWP & Cody Cropper take on the world (u-20s World Cup)

Will Spain ever lose a game, at any level??? -
I think we're after a new midfielder then...! To be honest, I haven't seen a great deal of Wanyama to know what he's all about - but I've seen a fair bit of Banega, and the level he's playing at is far more superior....
-
Great start for us, should allow us - if we play as we can - to get a decent foothold in the upper-mid table area's, rather than be consigned to the bottom 3 by October. We need the points though, as the run in looks atrocious on paper - but who knows how the season will pan out???
-
A normal 30min journey home took me 2 hours 10 mins. And that was going Southbound. Think both directions were closed at one point for the Air Ambulance. Even routes in and around Southampton are absolute grid lock - do not even attempt Southampton road. Really hope everyone involved ends up ok, but it didn't look great to be honest.
-
It's basically all of the winners from all over the world, so the Euro 2012 winners, the 2010 world cup winners, the Asian cup winners, the Copa America winners etc. Basically like a mega-champions league.
-
You can't think like that, otherwise you never add to the squad to improve the quality - you just fill it with absolute dross that's impossible to get rid of, and it will lead to inevitable relegation as alluded to. Believe it or not, there are better players out there than Cork or JWP!
